We teach guitar lessons in Miami, FL.
Learn to play the music you love from a patient, experienced teacher! We teach electric and acoustic for beginner to advanced.
We have a full-time teacher, who's very dedicated to his students!
A. Thanks for your interest in guitar lessons. I have helped very many people (kids as well as adults) learn to play guitar from scratch, or quickly improve their existing guitar skills. I'm confident I can help you too.
Finding a good teacher who is also the right fit for you is not easy. It's important to discuss your experience level, stylistic interests, goals, etc. Inexperienced and/or poor guitar teachers abound, unfortunately; if you choose an ineffective teacher it can be a huge waste of time and money.
I'm an experienced, full-time guitar teacher and take great pride in the consistent high level of service I provide to my students. I offer some different lesson programs, which most people find to be affordably priced.
However, I may or may not be the right teacher for YOU. It will greatly help to talk on the phone so that you can tell me a little more about yourself and your musical goals, and so that I can explain how the various lesson programs work. If it sounds like we might be a good student/teacher match, then we can discuss scheduling your first lesson.

A. Choosing a guitar teacher is NOT like buying gas for your car (where you typically just choose the closest and cheapest option).
There is a HUGE difference in the quality and value of lessons you will receive from different teachers. It is extremely important to find an instructor who is not only experienced and professional, but also who is the right fit for you as a student.
You MUST interview potential teachers by speaking with them over the phone and discussing your specific needs, goals, interests, etc.
If you get a good feel for the teacher over the phone, the next step would be to schedule an introductory lesson. Most teachers offer a one-time lesson (sometimes at a reduced rate) that lets you check it out before committing to anything more long-term.

A. Some things to think/talk about before choosing a guitar teacher:
- What level would you consider yourself currently? Total beginner? Know a few chords? Intermediate?
- What kind of music are you into? Rock/Pop? Jazz? Classical? etc...
- What are some of your favorite bands/songs?
- What do you hope to accomplish from taking guitar lessons?
A little about my teaching:
- I specialize in the styles of rock, jazz, blues, pop, etc.
- The styles I do NOT specialize in are classical, flamenco, etc.
Lessons with me are extremely fun, interactive, and beneficial. In addition to the actual class, I provide extra stuff that no other teacher around offers.
Your benefits include:
- the highest quality lessons, from a full-time, experienced, and extremely organized teacher who graduated from one of the country's top guitar programs (University of Miami Frost School of Music, Studio Music and Jazz Performance program)
- a typed lesson outline at every lesson, so that you know exactly the objectives to achieve before the next class
- playing along with drum beats and other backing tracks (and I'll often send you mp3 tracks I make to help you practice and have more fun playing at home), so that you can take what you are learning and apply it to real-life musical situations
- custom-made sheet music and other lesson materials
- opportunities to jam with other people, opportunities to play on stage, and more
