Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. General Spa Questions:
How do I make a Spa appointment?

You can call any time during business hours or book online with our gen book feature. We may even be able to book you the same day. For a single service, call anytime to check our availability.

Should I tell anyone about any physical, medical or allergy concerns?

When you arrive to our Spa, you will be asked to fill out a personal info questionnaire so that the Specialist may provide you with the best possible experience and assure your maximum safety and comfort. Inform our receptionist of high blood pressure, pregnancy, injuries, allergies (especially seafood allergies), or any other significant medical conditions before booking your treatments. Please inform us of any medications you may be taking, especially Retin-A, Accutane, or any photosensitizing medications.

What do I do if I am running late for an appointment?

We ask If you expect to be late for your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so we can make any adjustments necessary to keep you and our staff on schedule.

Is the Spa equipment Cleaned and sanitized between each appointment?

We are as dedicated to your health as you are, and that includes keeping our spa environment clean and sanitary. Each piece of equipment is thoroughly cleaned, sanitized and changed before and after each appointment. Our facility is Licensed and inspected by the Florida Health Department & State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation Division of Regulation.

Can I give my Gift Certificate to someone else?

You can call any time during business hours or book online with our gen book feature. We may even be able to book you the same day. For a single service, call anytime to check our availability.

What forms of payment is accepted?

Clients can conveniently pay using Cash, Major Credit Cards, and Paypal.


Are gratuities included in the cost of service?

Gratuities are not included in the cost of our salon/spa services. However, our staff always appreciates knowing that they have done well and you are pleased.

Waxing General Questions:

How long does hair have to be in bikini area before waxing?

Hair in the bikini area should be atleast 1/4" to /8" long to properly wax.

What happens in case of missed hairs?

Tweezers are used to remove any hairs that were missed by the waxing procedure.

What can I take before waxing to diminish discomfort?

Asprin or Ibuprofen 30 - 45 minutes before waxing can greatly reduce discomfort.

What are some instances where one should be extra cautious before waxing?

If you are pregnant, if your're on birth control, hormone replacement and/or antibiotics your skin may be more sensitive to waxing.


Can I wax if I have Rosacea?

Yes you can but, waxing can irritate dilated capillaries. If the capillaries are very red, stay away from waxing in that area.


Can I wax if I have taken blood thinners (certain medications), have diabetes, phlebitis?

These all relate to medical conditions, so first get your doctor�s approval before waxing.


Is waxing painful?

We try to be as quick, expert, and painless as possible, there may still be a small amount of discomfort. If you are concerned about this, we have a topical anesthetic available for purchase; A small price to pay for pain-free hair removal.


Do you provide Brazilian Waxing for Men?

Yes, we do provide complete genital area waxing for both men & women.


How long does waxing last?

Hair growth may vary, it's very personal and everyone is different. Waxing usually lasts from 2-6 Weeks.

When NOT To get Waxed:


You use Retin-A.
You have AIDS.
You have Lupus.
You have varicose veins on your legs.
You have pimples, cold sores, moles or warts.
You have irritated, inflamed, cut, or sunburned skin.
You are in cancer therapy receiving chemotherapy or radiation.

You currently take Accutane, or have stopped taking it less than a year ago.
You recently got botox or collagen injections--waxing should not be done in that area.
You have been in direct sunlight for a long period of time or tanning bed within the last 24 hours.

Facial General Questions:


Can I go to a photoshoot or party after receiving a facial?

Yes, we use state of the art machines not causing your face to swell. Of course, there may be individuals whose skin is extremely sensitive, and this is discussed before hand with client during initial consultation.


Can someone with sensitive skin receive a facial treatment?

Yes, our Estheticians are very qualified and experienced and know how to work with any skin type. We provide special treatments for sensitive skin, teen & the elderly.


Does Liz Skincare offer a Deep Cleaning Facial?

Yes, our facial treatments include: Steam, Exfoliation, Extraction using creams, lotions, masks and peels. For more information see "What Is A Facial".
