"My Husband and I met Brandon to discuss wedding details just a few days prior to ceremony.
We immediately connected and felt that a good friend was going to perform our wedding ceremony.

It was a beautiful and intimate event but Brandon made it very special by including what was important to us at the event.
He made us feel relaxed and kept us focused on the meaning of our vows."

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Florida Destination Weddings, Mortgage signings, Inspections & SEO account maintenance are the most common types of jobs.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Look for online reviews, screenshots and how fast calls are answered or returned.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. All notary services are stipulated by the State, but traveling notaries charge more to cover the costs of going to the client. Always find out the travel fee first because that is owed whether or not the signing is accepted by the Notary. The Notary may require to be paid the travel portion in cash. Typically, the travel fee is based on the distance and convenience. Also, note that parking fees may increase the cost of service too.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Always have a picture and signature ID available.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Working mobile as a fraud prevention specialist enables JMK Notary Services to work in the field and online 24/7. We go above and beyond to help prevent online click fraud from becoming a hardship for marketing your business to earn top rankings. Also, we visit locations to confirm the safety of client data and the legitimacy of business transactions.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Meeting new people constantly.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Do you need me to come to your office for service? No, the service is completely mobile for your convenience.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. A couple of years ago, I married a young couple that did not know they needed to get the marriage license first themselves. They were so excited to be married that they did not consider that part. The couple had invited guests and were dressed for the occasion, but did not have any paperwork. So, the next week we all gathered again once they obtained the marriage license. This is a favorite story from my wedding officiant work because they just wanted to be together and it was easy to see they were in love.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. Fraud prevention is my passion because it enables businesses and individuals to trust easier. Restoring integrity in business transactions and verifying IDs can help make the world more transparent. Therefore, this can help generate more transactions and reduce potential loss.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. After undergrad, I worked as an Assistant Sales Manager and noticed that contracts required notarization before being submitted for service activation. Therefore, I realized the need for having a notary available in the field for business transactions. However, finding one that is reliable can be difficult. Fraud prevention is important in business transactions to reduce lost revenue, scams and more. Identity theft is a growing crime and working as a mobile notary can help prevent this. Click fraud is an increasing issue as well. It occurs when someone clicks on your Ad without any intention on buying to get paid. This leaves online marketers looking for new ways to promote without paying per click. This is the fraud prevention effort that JMK Notary & Services solves with the SEO application law of reciprocity.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. I am particularly proud of a seminar that I did for the community. The topics helped new and existing entrepreneurs promote themselves without having a huge budget to see their business on the top of Google, Yahoo and Bing.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Yes, I must complete a notary public course every four years to renew my commission with the State of Florida. As for SEO services, I subscribe to SEW (Search Engine Watch Newsletter) and attend PR Web webinars.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. Yes, notaries will be doing electronic notarizations within this decade more often. As for SEO (search engine optimization) it will be changing constantly and merging more with social media, like LinkedIn.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. Pricing is based on the county served and the type of service. Therefore, each client is advised to contact JMK Notary & Services directly to obtain a price list.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. I help people from around the country via blogging, seminars and classroom teaching at Miami-Dade College to get into the notary business. First, I would tell a potential notary public in Florida to take the course online for free to save money. Second, I suggest to get a portfolio bag to carry everything. Third, I recommend shadowing someone else already in the business to learn on the job.

Q. What is your greatest strength?

A. This company's greatest strength is its ability to adapt to the market. Since 2011, we have added options to our destination wedding Officiant services by adding a male. Now brides and grooms may have either a male or female Officiant at no extra charge to accomodate their preference.
