Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Drawings - anything from animals to flowers or fish.
Painting

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. I'm very easy to work with but I'm not the type of person who likes to be left hanging, give me all the details, if you want me to make all the decisions, make that clear to me if you have "specifics" that you want me to follow, let me know.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Yes, this is important information that every customer should give someone when they're paying someone to paint their home because in the end if the job is not done how you want it, you can't blame the painter because you didn't give them enough information - I need all the details, I can't stress that enough.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. My work stands out from others because I'm all about innovation and being fresh and new, bringing new ideas and creating things that someone actually has to analyze otherwise no one will pay attention to what I do, they'll just collect the information and move along. I'm also really young so I pride myself in that.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love to see people MARVELED at a painting even if it's not mine, Art, the Arts (music, dance, fine arts, web design, etc) is so important and without it, some people wouldn't have a voice from T-Shirt designers to Architects, they wouldn't have been able to express their innovation if not for art. I love also to see people react to what i draw/paint, if it's sad I want to see them connect and get sad if it's funny I want to see them connect and laugh a bit I don't ant them to just collect the information from the peice and move on and i love when they ask questions about my peices, like how I did it, how long it took, etc.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How long have I been drawing/painting?
- To that I usually would say, since I could hold pencil and I'm getting better and better at it everyday.
Did I learn to draw or is it a natural talent?
- Of course it's my God-given talent otherwise I wouldn't be interested in it.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. Yes I do.
If you scroll through some samples of my artwork you'll see a picture called "Weekend at Wynwood" - I love the memories that picture brings me because I was with my art-loving cousins during Art Miami and we just roamed the art museums of Wynwood and the Art District where everybody does something about art, we listened to music, ate food, I got to tag myself in a art museum sign-in and I got to see all types of art I also went to a special Hello Kitty store that was only there for Art Miami called Small Gift and I took pictures with Harajuku/Scene/Lolitas it was really a fun time and i can't wait until I go back.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. That it's a lost art, it's becoming a lost art and the GREAT artists that do exist to this day (even writers) don't really get a full acknowledgement until they die and that's pretty sad, it's like everyone says "Art: Who Needs It?".

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Course I do, I'm taking art classes at my school because you always have to keep improving on your craft because you have to remember that there will ALWAYS be someone better than you and to stay ahead of the game you have to do what you have to do no matter what.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. I do not have a complicated pricing system, let's just call it a "variable pricing system". Certain projects are of certain monetary value of course because of materials, time spent on it and the peice altogether especially if it's a mural.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Develop a tough outer shell because in this business some people will NOT love your work no matter how hard you push the "different" button, anyone can be different that doesn't mean everyone is going to love them or their work.
