Performer's Music Institute is under the direction of Oscar Diaz, Jr. Mr. Diaz, Jr. has established a reputation for attaining the highest musical criteria possible in every one of his students. His students have performed throughout the world. Present and past students have done leading parts with opera companies abroad and in the United States. Mr. Diaz, Jr. is also widely-recognized for the success rate of his students' acceptance into leading conservatories and for his successful work with the help of young voices. These include such famous schools of music as the Indiana University, Manhattan School of Music, Cleveland Institute of Music, and New England Conservatory, amongst others.
Performer's Music Institute is a small superior-grade private music school that has existed in Miami since 1988 and has established a reputation for attaining the highest musical standards possible in every one of its students. We focus on the teaching of piano and voice. Our lessons are done privately (one teacher to one student) and are instructed in your home or our studio.
We offer flexible hours by appointment! In addition, we teach students at all levels of proficiency (beginner to advanced) and of all ages. We teach all styles of music!
To transfuse confidence in performing powers, we grant two student recitals per year.
We are professionally connected with the NATS, New World School, NGPT, American College of Musicians, Florida Opera, and others.
All of our instructors are degreed experts!

I started studying with Oscar Diaz, Jr. in 2007 and ever since then I have been able to make great strides forward in my technique, expression, and color. His commitment to creating beautiful voices is unlike that of any other teacher I know. Whenever I had an issue with my technique he would push me to learn and become better, something which I will be eternally grateful for as it has helped me to be the singer I am today. His dedication to his singers can be seen in how dedicated in turn his singers are to him. I highly recommend any student interested in pursuing voice to give him a call.

16 years ago was the first time I heard a student of Oscar. The student sang for the South Miami Music Club and I said to myself: her teacher must be a very good one.
Afterwards I met Oscar and begin my studies with him and I was right -I can say he is the best vocal teacher in Miami

I'm a five year student with Oscar. He has brought the best out of my singing voice. He continues to push me to go beyond my current level and is so CLEAR when it comes to explanation of the voice and it's workings. Oscar may be one of the best singing teachers in Florida. His expertise and confidence are rooted in deep training and passion. If you get a chance to work with him, I strongly suggest you take it.

Oscar Diaz is a leading professional in vocal technique and vocal health. He has the ability to truly fine tune the voice. He also has a wonderful knowledge of repertoire for all voice types.
