Bilingual Spanish Educator

I am a bilingual, bicultural educator with a secondary school teaching certificate from Duke University, and a master's degree in Latin American, Caribbean and U.S. Latino Studies. I and am now finishing my Ph.D. in U.S. Latino Cultural Studies (both from the University at Albany, SUNY). I have been an educator of all levels (elementary through college) for 20 years, and have extensive experience tutoring/teaching languages as well as other subjects. Most of all, I bring an enormous amount of enthusiasm, creativity and patience to teaching Spanish and will undoubtedly inspire and motivate you to love the language, people, and culture, all the while, strengthening your reading, writing, and conversational skills.

Here in Miami, I have worked with students from top college preparatory, public middle and high schools, and private/independent schools, including Ransom Everglades, Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart, Michael Krop, Coral Gables IB Sr. High, and many more. I have also tutored a number of 1st or 2nd semester college students taking Intro to Spanish/Spanish I and Spanish II. No one I have tutored has ever received a grade lower than a "B."
