Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. The variety of situations. One day translating in Philipines to MS. Universe Pagent next day interpreting in a Federal prison to a Russian mobster and day after on stage at the Metropolitan Opera working as a theater translator for a performance of Swam Lake from visiting Kirov Ballet company. and next in Miami Don Francisco in a Spanish TV channel for a group of ballroom dance competittors .Next day to a political refugee claiming torture for his belives thus asking protection and assylum in this country of ours .We are in inmersed in international matters which makes the job interesting and thought provoking.Always something new which enables us to grow as a human being and perfect the understanding of the world thru communication and contact..

A. Where are you from?
I reply born in Italy , grew up in Argentina, Study Linguistics at Syracuse University , N,Y.
Lived in Colombia, Mexico, England ,Germany and other countries.
Of Russian, Ukrainian and Lithuanian ancestory and American by choice

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. That we love what we do.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. Because of my backgorund of international experience, Born in Italy, grew up in Argentina of Russian and Ukrainian and Lithuanian ancestory , Well traveled due to my husband expatriate work with the international corporations.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. I am always happy when a job is well done.
Most of the times is well done.
Help people to pass the barrier of silence and misunderstanding.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. I maintain a constant contact with people of foreign extraction to enable me to mantain an updated vocabulary also belong to several international organizations . Read newspapers and watch tv news,movies attend palys in different languages to maintain vocabulary and idiomatic expressions which are in constant momento of change

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. The technical advances are a tool and a curse.....

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. We work every day/
This week we translated in Czechoslovakian, Spanish, Russian , Lithuanian, Punjabi
The cost varies by the language
Spanish we charge 90$ and hour.
Russian $125 and Punjab i$130 all the interpreters are certified by the courts and acreedited in the field .

A. MY rate are in the range of average market price
We do not outsource and work with the local talent since I am a firm beliver that it is most important to develop and mantain a strong group of linguist in this area.

A. Be interested and curious of the world and languages.Travel to the country you want to learn their idiom.Mantain an interest in their culture, way of life , customes and people..

A. My energy and even temper.

Q. What are you currently working on improving?

A. Getting a new contract as a trnaslation - interpreter vendor to a new company that just came to town.

A. What will you say to God when I will be in front of him?
I will say I did try to make people to understand each other better no matter of language barrier or nationality or origin.

Yes it was a long arbitration case of several businesmen which lasted many hours, we work two interpreters and came out well done.
