Math Tutoring

My name's Merrill and I tutor math in Orlando and online.

I tutor the following subjects:
Pre-Algebra
Algebra
Geometry
Pre-Calculus / Trigonometry
Calculus
Statistics
Linear Algebra
Differential Equations

And the math portion of the following exams:
PSAT/SAT
GRE
GMAT

I really enjoy teaching math and have a strong math background. I scored 800 (out of 800) on the math portions of the SAT and GRE, a 36 (out of 36) on the math portion of the ACT, a 5 (out of 5) on the AP Calculus AB, and a 6 (out of 7) on the higher-level IB Math Exam. I'm a former Lockheed Martin engineer who holds a Master's degree in computer science from UCF.

Tutoring can take place at an agreed upon location, my house, or online. For those who choose my house or online, I've discounted the rates and built a classroom with full-sized whiteboards to facilitate teaching by lecture or problem solving. In my experience, this is better than two people writing on the same sheet of paper or writing on individual pieces of paper and swapping them back-and-forth. The Learning environment is also more controlled (easy parking, controlled noise, full-sized table that's always available and clean). Online tutoring has you talking to me as if in person and watching me writing on the whiteboards live. I don't need to see you.
