Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. There are many pet sitters and dog walkers out there! However, many are people who do it as a hobby and may not be bonded or insured. Therefore, for your peace of mind, we highly recommend that you seek a bonded and insured pet sitter/dog walker.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Many companies use independent contractors, friends and family that are not actual employees and the independent contractors may not be bonded or insured with the company you select. Also, the company that you select may have never ran a background check on the person that will have access to your home.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Are you bonded and insured? Do you have any references? Who will be visiting my pet(s) and may I meet them before scheduling? If you have independent contractors, how did you screen them?

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Do I want the hassles or put the stress on myself and my pet(s) by boarding them in a kennel? Will my pet allow someone else to be in the house while I am not home? Will my pet allow someone else to walk them?
