Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. I am pretty even accross the board with small business commercials, club commercials, weddings, sporting events, and concerts, as well as independant music videos and documentaries. I also record video for a lot of celebrities for concerts or special events. I pretty much do it all.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. When it comes to video and photography, always ask to see thier work. Ask them if they have different packages or rates. I have hourly, half day, full day, and project rates.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. It's always better to ask about a package or project rate. This will cut your cost significantly for the end result.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. You should ask if the photographer or videographer has experience with the imparticular work that your'e looking for. Not all photgraphers and videographers work with multiple formats. Example: Some wedding videographers do not know how to set up for concerts or live events, and vice versa.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I have been in the music and video industry for more than 12 years now, and have learned how to create great projects on a shoe string budget to working with major record labels and artists. I also do weddings, live events, concerts, sporting events, and commercials on local and global levels. So I am very versatile, which gives me a great advantage over those who only work in one field. The main thing that I have learned is how to save time, which saves you money. I continually invest in the latest technology, and surround myself with people who bring new techniques.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I take great pride that my clients trust me to create an image that makes them proud. I do not take this lightly! I am so passionate about my creativity, and absolutely love what I do, which makes my projects look much better than those who are only in this for the money.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Most people ask how much does it cost for a video. The answer is, every video is different. It depends on what you want in your video, how many locations, how much time is spent planning, shooting, and editing your project. My objective is to save us time, which will save you money. I will also suggest alternatives to an original plan to keep the budget as low as possible without jeopordizing the quality of the project.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. Please realize a simple change isnt always that simple. There is a process of moving around footage, creating and rendering (processing) new graphics. Then exporting the finnished project again. This is a timely process, and not always a quick fix. I do allow for changes to proof your projects and make sure everything is the way you want it. a fee may or may not apply for changes after you approve the final cut.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I was a recording artist surrounded by everyone who knew music. So I decided to learn the other side of the spectrum to seperate myself and add value by learning video production.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Im always reading and updating my gear for the latest in technology and training, and techniques. I am proud say I have upgraded to DSLR cameras which offfer the latest in video technology, giving you double the impact of your standard Hi-Definition package.
