Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. It is very important to feel comfortable with the consultant you hire, as you will have a lot of contact with them durring the planning process. So make sure you select a consultant with whom you have a good rapport, it is after all your special day and you should feel at ease.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. It is unfortunate, but often hiring a wedding and event consultant has been viewed of as a luxury or added expense. When infact hiring an event consultant will not only save you time and stress, but event consultants have connections with the best vendors and are able to get discounts unavailable to the client alone.

A. The wonderful thing about hiring an event consultant is that you really do not need to have a lot of information in the beginning. A basic idea of what you want, an rough estimate of your budget and scale of the event itself is a great start! After that it should be up to your consultant to assist you in figuring out the rest!

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Unfortunately in this industry you will find that there are many consultants/planners with very little formal education in this field, if any at all. We at Coeur Events beleive that a quality education produces quality work and that is why we are proud to say that all of our planners either have a Diploma in *Professional Bridal Consulting* or are working on attaining one. Along with this we also attended many workshops and seminars in this industry to stay current with the latest fashions and trends! My advise to anyone would be if you are going to hire a consultant, make sure to see their credentials. Why leave such an important detail to just anyone?
