Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Look for somebody you communicate well with and always try to have an outline of not only the functionality you want but also a site overview of pages and menus items as you want them organized.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Be open to communication and patient. Often customers don't do a great job of explaining what they want to the designer. This causes delays and often tension between the designer and client as the designer has a hard time achieving the desired result without a good scope.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Just be sure you have open lines of communication and that they understand your concept and functionality needs.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. You should have at minimum: 3 Competitor Site with features you like, 3 you don't like so much, An outline of the different pages in your site in a hierarchical style, List of features you want, FB & other social media info, Any & all methods of contact as well as what info you need to collect to properly benefit from a form on the site, as well as any expectations you have for the visual design including colors, logos and anything else you want incorporated.
