A. The best advice is to ask questions about the length of time the professional has been in business, ask about similar jobs that the professional has done and is a job or a hobby.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Some times the best answer might be "I don't know the answer, but I can surely find the answer." Knowing where to look for the answer is half the battle.

A. How long have you been doing these types of jobs? Do you have any references that I can call and check on previous work that has been preformed?
