Introduction: My work stands out because I am not doing this as just a job. I truly enjoy what I do and it shows. I go out of my way to make sure my clients know that I am there to serve them. I am there to make their wedding day perfect. I am there to make sure everyone knows what is going on and there is no chaos. I am genuine and don't offer things I can't follow through with. I like seeing people enjoy themselves, let loose a little, and have a good time. It's great at the end of the night to get several people approaching you Thanking you for such a good time. All you did all night was play music and talk on the microphone a bit, but the atmosphere you created was one that helped them have a great time! That's what I like best about being a DJ.

I have had the pleasure of contracting Jeff Onorato as a DJ for a clients 90th Birthday celebration. We operate out of the Southern California area and searched for a number of DJ's in the Florida region. As an owner of an Special Events planning company, I have contracted a number of Disc Jockies over the years. I want to say that Jeff proved to be an excellent choice, from the sheer professionalism in which he demonstrated prior, during and after the event and to the manner in which he operated during the party. Dear Jeff and Neal, I just wanted to drop a line to let you know that I could not have been more pleased with DJ Neal and SG Mobile DJ Service, who provided the entertainment for our 30th class reunion event at the Hilton Naples on August 13, 2011. Neal contacted the hotel ahead of time to make arrangements, he arrived on time with a call to me in advance to let me know he was on his way, he was personable, fun, and completely professional, and he could not have played a better song list for our group. The song selections he made for cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing were absolutely perfect, as was the volume chosen for each. The light package and fog machines were a great touch and a big hit, and everyone was moving and having a great time. I received many compliments throughout the evening regarding my choice in DJs. To me, the true mark of a great DJ is his ability to blend the music with the event so that it becomes a seamless element of the party, and DJ Neal accomplished this with great success. I had a fantastic experience with Jeff and Neal from SG Mobile DJ Service, LLC while planning my 10 Year High School Reunion! They were both so responsive, professional, attentive and nice! They communicate exceptionally, always responding immediately to phone calls and emails which I appreciated so very much. Neal did an AWESOME job at our event and kept the party going all evening! So much so that my fellow classmates and I didn't want to leave when it was over! I want to thank both Jeff and Neal for making my event planning experience carefree when it came to my DJ Service. They completely made the party! Having them there was the BEST decision I could have made for my event!

I recently hired SG Mobile DJ Service for my daughter's "Sweet 16" birthday party. It was a "dance club" theme, so we wanted laser lighting effects, uplighting, fog and music that would appease a younger teen crowd. My initial contact was with Jeff and as soon as I met him in person, I knew I did not have to look any further for a DJ service, I booked them right away. Jeff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, and even went as far as to research and purchase a specific laser light that he could use at the party. He was very professional, friendly, and always responded promptly to my email communications. Neal was our DJ for the night and he was "AWESOME!" (quoted from my daughter). He was able to mix in several "unconventional" songs that we had requested prior to the event (from big band/swing songs to disco), and his music selections kept everyone on the dance floor throughout the entire night! The guests were impressed and had nothing but great things to say about him and his skills. It was an amazing and memorable party, thanks to Jeff and Neal, and we would highly recommend booking them for your next event! Additional Note: The uplighting dramatically changed the atmosphere of the room and is a definite "must-have" for any party!

I experienced how wonderful SG Mobile DJ Services is at my cousin's wedding. Jeff was great! Unfortunately, Jeff was not available on my wedding day so we worked with Neal. We had many, many snafus on the day of our wedding. Here are just a few: 1) our first dance song was played during dinner as background music. I had to ask them to turn it off. It should have only been played when the first dance was scheduled. 2) there ended up being no microphones at our ceremony due to "distance issues". No distance requirements were communicated prior to the wedding. If it had been we could have at least tried to rework our ceremony setup. It resulted in our guests not being able to hear our vows. 3) our entry song was played at the wrong time and abruptly stopped and started again. There are other snafus, but I'll close with Neal seemed generally unprepared one our day. Maybe he had an 'off day', but I wouldn't risk it and therefore cannot recommend their service. When I returned from my honeymoon l wrote to them requesting a partial reimbursement since I did not receive the quality of services I paid for. I got a detailed "I'm sorry email", but no answer to my question. I wrote again inquiring about reimbursement to which I received no response at all. Very rude, in my opinion.

The key to gaining business is to make everything as simplistic as possible for your customers. The easier it is for them to understand what they are getting for what they are paying, the easier it will be to gain their business.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly researching new developments. I am continuously talking to other professionals, looking for better and easier ways to improve my equipment. Marketing is also a huge portion of my education. I am always looking for ways to get my name out to prospective clients in the most cost efficient manner.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was about 11 years old I helped my Dad do music for a cake walk event at the school he was teaching at. During the event, several people approached us and suggested we start a DJ service. Two years later we started a DJ business and I have been doing it ever since.
