Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. The best advice I could give any prospective client is that they need to ask the right questions of their provider. There are no stupid questions, only poor results from the questions not asked. Is your provider experienced? Insured? Do they have references? Questions like these will save you a lot of trouble in the end. The next most important advice I would give is that while you may need to work within a budget, keep in mind that most people charge what they are worth, the most expensive dj's are NOT always the best, but you can pretty much count on the cheapest being the worst. Why take a chance on your most important day of your life being handled by someone just because of the price. You never get a second chance to do it right the first time.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Experience, experience, experience! If I had a dollar for every client that I've spoken to who has had a bad taste left in their mouth from someone who "said" they could do the job, but in reality had never done one before, I'd be quite wealthy :) Make sure the equipment is in good shape, the lighting and sound are from somewhere in this century, and make sure they have references! A good dj can be the pied piper of your event, leading you and your guests on a musical journey through sight and sound, taking you and your guests to the place where having fun is bound to be.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. We covered this pretty well so far, but again the most important questions sometimes are the ones you don't ask. Does the entertainer have backup equipment in case something happens? Does the entertainer have all the music you want him/her to play? What is the fee for overtime and are they available to play longer if desired? These are just some of the questions that you will find helpful in your quest for the entertainer that will not only meet, but exceed your expectations.
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. Potential clients should have certain things ready to go when they contact a company to provide them with a service. In our industry, a solid date is always a good place to start. Once you have your date secured, then an entertainment company like ours can help you with several other aspects of making your event a success. Venues, flowers, lighting, catering, photography, videography, etc, can be pursued through us, as we have built a strong network of like minded professional partners with whom we have worked with before, and feel strongly enough about to recommend with our reputation behind that recommendation.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. We pride ourselves on being entertainers first, and providing that professionalism and fun intertwined results in allowing people to join in on the fun as opposed to some entertainers who are just picking up a paycheck so to speak. We really love our jobs and making people happy is a great reward.
