Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Dunetos K-9 is different from other companies because we specialize in integrating your dog into your life. Too many companies either train the dog and neglect the handler, or only train the handler in specific situations. We expose the handler to as many situations as possible, including training in their own homes. This ensures that the dog is obedient and performs the skills you need, when you need them.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. This is Joel with Dunetos K-9. I absolutely love my dogs, and I thoroughly enjoy teaching others about their dogs too. I love being out of the office, and on the training field. Whether we are on the obstacle course or tracking through 3 feet of snow in the north, there is nothing better than doing whatever you are going to do with a dog at the other end of the lead. A. Why should I integrate my dog into my life?
For many people, they realize that they need or will greatly benefit from the addition of a dog in their life for protection or some other specialized need. However, once they actually add this dog into their life, they become frustrated because they feel that the dog is constantly in the way. By allowing Dunetos K-9 to assist you in integrating your dog into your life, we can make your dog a joy, and not a burden.

I sent my dog to obedience school, why won't he obey me?
Many people make the mistake of sending their dog to a trainer for obedience. While this does ensure that your dog understands what the commands means, and may speed up your own process, it is lacking a critical component. The member of your relationship that really needs training is you. At Dunetos K-9, we focus on training the owner to train their dog. This ensures that you will have control in your home, out in town, and under extreme stress when it comes.

I am afraid that if I train my dog to bite, he will bite someone I don't want him to. Should I still do protection work?
This is a common fear and should first be answered by stating that not all trainers are equal. So I am not speaking for anyone else. But if you train with Dunetos K-9 and if you follow the training that we will give you, you will know when your dog will bite and when he will not, because you will command which action you require at that moment. All dogs bite, the best you can claim for your dog is that he may not have bitten a person...yet. But dogs are predators. Let us train both you and your dog to bite when commanded and to leave it when commanded. Having a stable dog is critical whether you have trained for protection or not.
