Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Look for experience and speak with the technician. For me and for a lot of professionals our time is valuable and it is easy to throw money at a technician just to get the job done. Take :30 seconds to talk to someone first. If you choose the wrong person based on a flash website or a bunch of unconfirmed claims of certification that may not be true you'll waste more time eventually.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Know how to reset the check valve on you LP tank. We get calls every day claiming a barbecue does not get hot when the problem is a basic safety feature in the tank.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. When is service available, how much experience as a technician, do we have available replacement parts and do we stand behind our service in addition to assisting with any manufacturers warranty. Anybody can claim there is a warranty when the manufacturer has a warranty but if your service professional is not going to back their work the manufacturer does not know you and will be difficult if you need to use the warranty.
