Richard did a good job on our bathroom remodel. I had some plumbing to be moved as well. He did demo repiped and painted. Also hung a new door per my request to swing out rather than in.
He told me 3-4 days from start to finish. I suppose he was short handed since it was about a week and a half. He worked with me on a couple issues as they came up and was upfront about not doing shower doors so I had to get someone separately to do that.
There are minor details that I wish I mentioned ahead of time but. He hung the door and painted over the hinges . Luckily I kept the previous hinges and will swap at a later time. I’m flexible with being able to work home while he worked on the bathroom but it may be difficult for some to extend working from home or time off of their job. I personally don’t like contractors working if I’m not home. Bathroom is small and had to make some adjustments after picking up hardware and vanity. He made it work with what we had.
Shower head leaks a bit but can likely be remedied by tightening or applying more Teflon. Just attention to detail like testing to be sure it works right before finishing. Door closes but is not hung the best. I have a hard time getting a door hung correctly and neatly it would have been ideal for me not have to mess with the door after the fact.
He offered to come back to cut a tile for me if needed for a backsplash or floor transition which I didn’t have an extra piece for.
He was fair and communicative and had been doing this type of work for a lot of years. Thank you!
