We are a state certified building contractor that specializes in residential remodeling and commercial unit build-out. The "new construction" guys have turned to remodeling, because new home starts are way down, but it takes special expertise to do really good, professional remodeling.
Utilizing our structural engineering skills, we develop a room addition or remodel project, designed to meet your goals and objectives, that does not look "added-on". We do it all and use only state certified and registered architects to develop signed and sealed plans, as required for all permitting of projects.
We live where we work and are well-known for quality, reliability, and keeping a neat, clean job site. You can probably get a cheaper bid, but to beat our prices, they have to cut out something on your project. Less materials, cheaper stuff, or less labor all mean less quality in a finished project that you will see, touch, and use, every day of your life. Shouldn't you get it done right? Make one call; we do it all!

We were very worried when we noticed how badly our yard was eroding toward our lake, and knew we needed a retaining wall. After talking with other professionals, we selected Riviera Bay Builders for the project. Hal was the only person who really understood how serious this was, and had the engineering background to design a permanent solution for us from start to finish. He was on site every day, watching every step of the project like it was his own home. His crew was great, all professionals who showed great pride in their work. They were very careful with our yard and property. Any questions we had were answered the very same day, and we felt like we had a "partner" with our project, not just a contractor. The bonus is that we didn't just get an extremely well designed retaining wall (most of which you can't even see because it's underground), Hal designed a "sea walk" and patio that makes our yard a showplace. We now joke that the house may blow away with "the big one" but at least the wall will still be here.

Within the past several years, Riviera Bay Builders has successfully completed two major construction projects at our home. Their materials and implementation far exceeded structural code requirements, as evidenced by all the building inspectors’ comments as they immediately approved the work as construction progressed. Even their sub-contractors stated that “The building code says we aren’t required to do it like this, but that’s the way Hal wants it done”. (I have commented to people that "I hope our existing house doesn't blow down in a hurricane and scratch our new structure"). Everything is built to last, as if they have to live here themselves.
The principles of the company were communicative, easy to contact and responsive to my questions. Their sub-contractors seemed to share the desire to exceed expectations and the projects were completed with amazingly minimal impact on our landscaping, driveway and other surroundings.
If and when we plan any further construction projects, we will not contract any company other than Riviera Bay Builders.

A. We live in the area where we work. Everyone we work for knows us, personally . . . . If not before we start, they are friends before we are done. We take the worry out of construction and remodeling. We are trustworthy and our customers know that. We handle everything, so the customer has no worries. And, we do all types of residential remodeling, including room additions, decks, docks, and roof reconstruction and repair. We specialize in decorative concrete sidewalks, driveway, patio, or other stamped, colored concrete projects, that look and feel like stone, slate or other natural materials. Make one call . . . . We do it all!
A. Every job is different and special to the homeowner, which makes it very special to me. I personally supervise EVERY job. I really like the people I work for. And, as a structural engineer, I enjoy the challenge of designing an addition that is in harmony with the existing structure.
A. Why do you build such strength into the project?
Well . . . . We do live in hurricane country! I believe that it is not a matter of "IF" but simply WHEN, we will be affected by a major storm. It doesn't cost very much more to use the best materials, build in additional strength, and provide safety and peace of mind for the homeowner. Nothing I have ever designed and built has ever fallen down. I am proud to build with my chosed degree of high quality and extra strenght.
