We spent a few wonderful days with Elena in St. Petersburg last August and were extremely impressed by her local knowledge, attention to detail, and flexibility in designing a custom itinerary for us. If you want to make the most of your time in Russia, we cannot recommend Elena and her guides enough ... Kate & Scott (Newport Beach, CA)

We spent three days with Elena in St. Petersburg and it was the highlight of our Baltic trip. Elena was knowledgable and made our tour through the city seamless. It could not have been more perfect. My wife and I would highly recommend her company!

We had a very nice time spended in St Petrsburg with Lena. She is a very good and experienced guide. Lena gave us good and accurate explanations about places, history and answers on our questions. Lena is a very nice person, having a lot of schedules which may answer all changes during the our spent together. Also we had opotunity to meet her husband, they are a good team. It is important to have a central located hotel in order to be able to walk in the city. with is great.. Lena recomanded us a good folclor evening... and restaurants to.... We also introduced Lena to our friends who came back impressed.... We wish Lena and Vadim Succes....

In July 2010, a group of 6 had Elena Ulko as our guide for 3 days in St Petersburg. She was very good - her knowledge of the city is thorough, she adapted our tours to things that we wanted to see as well as the usual sights, she interacted well with all the group members, her command of English is excellent, and we had fun. When a conflict in her schedule meant she could not be with us on the final morning, she arranged a fully competent and completely satisfactory substitute. I can fully recommend her services to any small group.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

The pricing is really not that complicated. We either offer you a package tour that includes everything: guides, drivers, transfers, admissions...even hotels, if needed. OR if you don't need that much, you can simply hire a guide or a driver on hourly or daily basis. And we always provide you with a detailed receipt for the services rendered,

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have always been found of languages, and upon my graduation from the University decided to take an additional course as a guide/interpreter...and I loved it! The studies took almost 6 months, with lectures every day, museum tours, tests, exams and finally I got the certificate! Having undegone the State Guide Accreditation I'm pround to boast the highest category. All of my guides are!

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Guides are human and we also get hungry! So please, do let us know in advance if you're not planning to make any lunch stops during your tour so that your guide could bring a snack from home. We are human, we cannot know answers to EVERY single question. And we get distracted if you talk while on tour on a museum, and we cannot keep an eye on everyone if you group is more than 10 people. Please, stay together and don't get lost!
