Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. When hiring a wedding photographer be sure to select someone who offers a CD or DVD of your wedding pictures at no additional cost. Many wedding and portrait photographers in St. Petersburg and Tampa area charge extra for this, sometimes up to several hundred dollars. We always provide a DVD with all your pictures in high resolution along with a copyright release to all pictures, ALL at no additional cost. In fact, all of the services we offer are affordable for our customers. We have never lost a client due to price.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Many people who are getting married wish that they could get through all of the preparations much quicker. The services I offer and the other professionals that I work with are all customer service oriented. We realize that you don't want to spend months selecting a photographer for your wedding. We also realize that you don't want to spend thousands of dollars for a photographer, nor do you want to pay $100 and end up with a high school dropout with a point and shoot. We offer the most professional service at a price that is affordable.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. When hiring a photographer for your wedding or family portraits ask them how long they have been a photographer. I also recommend meeting the photographer at a public place so that you can get to know them and view their portfolio. Don't take a chance with a blind date for a photographer. There is nothing worse than meeting your photographer for the first time just before walking down the aisle. You want to make sure that you feel comfortable with the person you are entrusting to take the pictures of a lifetime for you.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I'm often told that my pictures stand out from the hundreds of other photographers. This is usually attributed to my attention to detail and my ability to determine what is going to take place next and be there to photograph it.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I didn't find photography, it found me. While I was always known for my artistic ability I never pictured myself being a professional photographer. Once my skills were refined I soon discovered that photography was my calling. I truly enjoy photography whether it be nature, portraiture, weddings, photojournalism or sunsets. I've been taking pictures for several years and my personal collection contains over 1 million pictures. If I had my choice I'd photograph weddings in remote locations for the rest of my life.
