Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. One of the most important credentials to look for is that your mold inspector / sampler is licensed with the State of Florida.
Another extremely important qualification to hold in this industry is a certification with the American Council of Accredited Certifications or ACAC. This certification is the most respected credential of this industry, requiring proof of experience and a proctored exam only then to have the application go in front of a council board. This is a big difference from your online "training" schools that issue "certifications" through the mail.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Testing is not always needed! We perform the visual inspection and moisture readings first to determine if sampling is warranted. Some people in this field only take samples and do not perform a thorough inspection. This can leave a lot of room for error due to sampling inaccuracies. Make sure your mold assessor also performs a mold inspection prior to taking any samples.
Another important, and now required by law, piece of information is that the person taking the mold samples cannot perform the mold remediation (clean-up) due to a conflict of interest. We do not perform any remediation services so you do not have to worry about a conflict of interest with Elite Mold Services.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Does your company provide mold remediation services?
Are you certified by the American Council of Accredited Certifications, aka the ACAC?
Do you have a State-License for Mold Assessing?
Are you insured with at least 1 million in General Liability AND Error's & Omissions?

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We are extremely professional and courteous. Most clients calling us have fears about mold contamination or exposure. We make sure to inform the client of all pertinent information prior to leaving your property so that you can make informed decisions.
We issue a full assessment report with digital photos and a conclusions page so you will know what next steps are to be taken.
