Introduction: Building websites is easy. What is more substantial is crafting a product or service ideally suited for the client within the framework of a client's business model, existing processes, marketing plans, and future goals. This requires open lines of communication, experience, and integrity. We recognize that most of our clients are not spending their time developing websites every day like we are. We'll take the time to help them understand the advantages, tradeoffs, and financial considerations of every decision before any commitment is made. Our industry is quickly evolving, and if long term success if possible, our clients need to understand that we'll need to adapt and adjust moving forward. Intimate knowledge of our client's business allows us to provide timely and accurate advice as technologies or businesses change.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Most of our work involves the initial design and development of custom websites. If a client is a new company or changing ownership, we also often develop logos and corporate identities. Once the website has been developed, we train our clients to administer the site themselves. As needs evolve, we may also take on all or a portion of the ongoing management of the website and updating website content for our clients. Later, periodic enhancements and redesigns may be necessary.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would suggest soliciting multiple proposals and engaging in actually discussions with multiple prospective providers. You'll learn as you go, hearing different commentary, recommendations and information from each. You should be able to acquire written proposals outlining project details and pricing. You should not be expected to know industry jargon and acronyms...they should be able to recognize that you can't know everything about websites because you're busy doing other things all day. You should be able to find out what your options are and what solutions are possible to fit your requirements...similarly, you should be able to find out what you don't need. In general terms, if you were to choose the wrong provider, it is best to learn this fact as early in the process as possible. Ask a lot of questions and see if they pass the "sniff test". If so, get them to deliver a written proposal upon which you can make an educated business decision.
