I’ve worked with many students and the most common frustration is that their swing is “not consistent”
Consistency can mean a variety of things. Consistent yardage? Consistent ball flight or shape? Consistent scoring? Let’s take time to learn what’s holding you back from playing your best.
My name is Andrew and I’ve been in the golf industry for about a decade. I have committed my time to learning the nuances of the swing and the game to explain it and demonstrate it to my students so they feel confident.
Beginner golfers are usually familiar with slicing the ball and hitting the ground before the ball. They are also very familiar with most of their clubs going the same distance. As annoying as that is, with a few lessons we can eliminate those frustrations understanding low point control, proper weight shift, grip, etc.
Intermediate golfers are typically hitting the ball “thin” and pulling and/or hooking the ball. Their short game is very inconsistent, and we aimlessly hit balls at the driving range and not really accomplish anything productive. Let’s dive deeper into understanding what parts of the swing connect together and work on a more productive practice session.
Advanced golfers are usually very good with their ball striking and can manage their shots around the greens. You’ve enjoyed going down the rabbit hole of being consistent around the course but seemed to have “plateaued” and need to fine tune some swing thoughts and mechanics to evolve closer to scratch. Let’s understand what your swing numbers are and get nitty gritty to dial in your game.
Parents, we all want what’s best for our children. I want to provide an atmosphere that’s fun and educational. Your children are consistently growing and getting stronger and bigger. Their swing will always be evolving at a faster rate and that itself is very frustrating for them. Yes, evolving too quickly is also a frustration because we haven’t found consistency just yet. Let’s allow them to consume the knowledge and refine techniques that can evolve and grow with them.
