- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I realized I had a green thumb, like my late Mother, I said why not put it to work. It would make her proud, and she would rest in peace even better. I gave it a try, and when I started getting so many compliments on how good of a job I'd done, and receiving tips besides being paid good, I saw no reason not to go all the way. It was easy to perform the duties since I had been doing that type of work anyway, so I knew it would prosper once the word got around. As it proved itself worthy, I decide to get Licensed and Insured to really go strong, and man, did it pay off.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Landscaping yards, Commercial Businesses, Beach Homes, etc. Trimming and removing Trees Hauling Debris from Jobsite Pressure Washing
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
A friend of mine Mother had just moved into her new home in the Venice, Fl. area through Habitat. She was so proud of having her own home. She sent her Daughter to ask meif I would Landscape her yard for her, from front to back. I went to take a look. It was pretty unlevel, and I know she couldn't afford to spend very much money. I told her, I'll tell you what I'll do, I'll do the entire property from the front of the house, both sides of it, and the back yard for a reasonable amount. When she asked me how reasonable, I looked at her, and I could see the, "I wonder what he calls reasonable" look on her face. I said $700. Her whole face lit up with a smaile, and Thanks where coming out of her mouth so fast, she could hardly speak. I built up the ground first to even it out all the way around, ordered all the flowers I was going to plant, and bought some from local Walmart. I designed a horseshoe shaped flower garden with red and white small bricks sit on ends at an angle directly behind one another, and placed red mulch. The flowers I planted were Bogavillions. I probably spelled it wrong, but you get the idea. The rest of the Landscaping is too much too put here. I just enjoyed the Happiness on her face, and this Lady really deserved it. She is a Blessed woman, and has a heart of gold.
