About Ian Bucataru, Esq.

Mon-Fri: 5:00am-4:00pm

I am an experienced Tallahassee attorney specializing in divorce, child custody and support, alimony, visitation, time-sharing, relocation, paternity, and bankruptcy.

Have you just been served with divorce papers and stand to lose your children, home, vehicle and/or business?

Is your ex-spouse preventing you from spending court-ordered time sharing or visitation time with your children?

Have you suffered a substantial decrease in income, but still have to cut monthly support checks based on your old income?

Have you stopped paying your bills because you have to make court-ordered support payments or otherwise risk going to jail?

Regardless of your circumstances and whether your legal problems have weighed you down for months or are new, I can step in immediately and offer you my expert legal assistance.

I am very good at my job. I'm saying this to reassure you, and not to impress you. Since 2004, I have been practicing law, both in private practice and for the State of Florida's assistant attorney general. I personally answer your queries and return your calls.

As one of my clients, you will always get the VIP treatment, which means access to me 24/7, the most complete investigation of your case, the aggressive representation of your interests and rights in front of judicial decision makers, and the peace of mind that your livelihood and reputation are in good hands.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. I firmly believe that an attorney’s job is made easier when dealing with a well informed client, so do your homework before hiring an attorney. My website (www.NFLLAW.com), as well as many other resources (for example Gerald Jeane's "Florida Divorce Handbook"), provide a lot of free information to help you out.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Divorce is one of the most painful experiences a person can have. I definitely recommend hiring an attorney that you feel can handle the emotional side of your divorce, not just the legal side. That is why I communicate with clients directly - good news or bad, they need to hear it from me, their attorney, not from staff.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Let them know what your objectives are (such as: "I don't get to get stuck with the mortgage debt" or "I really want to have majority timesharing of the children"). Nobody can guarantee you results but an attorney definitely cannot give you the full benefit of their services if they don't know what your personal goals are.
