I hosted a surprise birthday party for my wife's 40th. We had 52 guests in our house. Wayl of a Time caterers were tremendous. The guests never had an empty glass and the food was outstanding. The servers and cook were extremely professional. I didn't have to worry about a thing. Irene runs a smooth operation and was very helpful in planning the event and creating a stellar menu. Highest recommendation from me!

Plain and simple... Arno and Irene know how to cook! They're the best. I have never been disappointed and I would not hesitate in recommending their services. If you've not tried their food, you are missing out.

A. On a daily basis we serve a number of offices with breakfast, lunch and meeting platters. We supply the Home Shopping Network of platters on a daily basis, also catering for celebrities on their shows, like Martha Steward, Todd English, Queen Latifah, J Lo, Mariah Carey, to name a few.
We also do weddings, from as little as 30 people. Other functions that we do a lot of are school graduations, high school dances, senior dinners and similar events.
A. Look for a caterer who you can identify with.
A caterer who cooks "ready-made/pre-made" food will just be another "blah". Get one, like ourselves, who cook everything from real ingredients.
Personalized service, one-on-one meetings with the bride, mother of bride or coordinator, as often as needed. One who is available on the phone any time, day or night, to assist you with any questions you may have. Wayl of a Time Catering is just that, and more! Call us today! 813-241-9295. Serving the Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties.
A. General tips for a wedding:
1. Round cake or square? Square is more economical, no wasted pieces.
2. Book your caterer as soon as you have the venue, as both these book out fairly quickly.
3. Buffet or seated? Buffet is more casual and allows for more "mingling", is slightly cheaper due to fewer servers needed. Seated is more formal, slightly more expensive due to more servers needed.
4. Wedding cake or not? If your budget is tight, just serve a light dessert, and besides, very seldom is the wedding cake enjoyed as much as a regular dessert.
A. When a menu is decided upon, it is done with complete satisfaction of the customer. By then we have sat down together, planned and discussed a menu to fit their exact needs and budget. Our food does not come from cans, freezers etc. We cook everything from scratch with good authentic and proven recipes. Our food is fresh and of excellent quality. Our customers return to us, over and over.
A. Most people are under the misconception that appetizers vs buffet will be much cheaper. WRONG! Appetizers can be from slightly more that a full menu, to much more. In general it is more expensive because much more work and detail goes into each item.
A. Wayl of a Time was the sole caterer two years in a row for "Beach goes Pops" - an annual elegant event held at St Pete Beach in 2010 and 2011.

We catered for 350 people, from our portable kitchen set up on the beach.
A. A great strength is our staff! Good people with excellent knowledge and experience. A wonderful team, one to be proud of at all times!
A. Q: Do I have to have a "Main Table/Bridal Table"?
A: It all depends on how many guests you have and how formal your wedding reception is. Typically the smaller weddings (20-30 or less) don't have to have a bridal table as such.
Q: Where do I seat my Mother-in-Law?
A: As far away as possible!! :)
A. Q: How do I know how much wine to have available at my wedding?
A: Work on 1 bottle for every 2 adults at our wedding. Not everyone drinks wine, and that will cover your wine-drinking guests.
Q: How much beer for a wine and beer wedding:
A: Calculate 1.5 - 2 beers per adults attending your wedding. Not everyone drinks beer, and that will cover your beer-drinking guests.
A. Q: If I want a certain food type (i.e. lobster) on my wedding menu, how do I know whether or not I will be able to afford it?
A: Tell your caterer what you can afford on spending per person (most accurate) on food, and she will give you a list of menus/food items that fall into your budget.
