A. I started Djing because I wanted to really help out the Indie artists that I have met and network with through my mixtapes. Making various crowds move to the music you play is a major thrill and adrenaline rush.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. I recently had the pleasure of Djing for a famous and funny comedian by the name of Chris Thomas who was the host of BET's Rap City and called himself the Mayor of Rap City. Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. Laptops and Dj programs have made it possible for anyone to become a Dj with little or no training. But the software also assists the trained Dj in their mixes and adds more possibilities to remix music and add effects and record what is being played at different events or clubs.

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. I recently had to do a 50th birthday party for a gentleman living here in Tampa,Fl. and was put together by his family. I played music from 9pm to 3:30 am and was only supposed to play until 2am. I was payed 150.00 for the party as a favor to a friend who called me up that day very last minute but thought of me first to do the party. Had a great time and everything was provided for!!

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Network and find out what you want to be. Do you want to be a club Dj or mixtape? Play just the top 40 or be versatile and play all genres of music? Knowing what you want to do in any business is key before pursuing that venture. Stick with what you know but don't be afraid to try out new things.
