Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Since 2003 we have been providing one-on-one in house service to our clients. Since 2013 Jeff has also been the Assistant Director of Training for Bark Busters North America. He trains new trainers, assists Bark Buster trainers both nationally and internationally with difficult cases they have and providing continuing education. Jeff and his wife Cathy work together as a team to personally help their clients. We do not use treats for reward nor do we ever use prong, pinch, e-collars or any devices that can hurt dogs or cause pain. We also never become physical with dogs. All training are based on establishing mutual trust, respect and bond though understanding and clear communication. We do however use lots of praise and positive reinforcement. We are results oriented and do not charge by the hour, session or even by the number of dogs. We work with our clients until we have helped them. Our "LIfe of the Dog" support guarantee gives our clients peace of mind. We'll return when needed for either the re-occurance of original issues or if something new comes up. We do all this for a reasonable one time fee. Due to our experience with behavior we are also regularly asked to speak at vet clinics and area technical high schools and colleges with veterinary assistance and technician programs. The best part of our job is seeing our clients actually enjoying their dogs, sometimes for the first time, when their dogs actually begin understand them and show that they really do want to please them. Along with that comes the relaxation that the dogs experience when the stress and anxiety that they were suffering is removed. Our goal has always been Happy Dogs and Happy Families and we've been fortunate to have helped Thousands of dogs and families in the Tampa Area since 2003.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

We typically have two types of clients. The first is proactive and has either just adopted a new dog or has just gotten a puppy and they want to make sure they get off to a good start. The other type of client is dealing with some behavioral issues that they don't know how to solve. It might be that the dog is jumping on everyone or is pulling them down the street instead of walking with them or they might even be dealing with more serious issues such as aggression either to dogs or people or separation anxiety. No matter what behaviors you are facing, we can help. Most of our clients start seeing positive changes in their dog's behavior during our first session with them.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

You typically have two choices when looking at dog training methods. You have those who are "positive" only which typically entails using lots of treats but never letting dogs know they are making mistakes (ignore the bad behavior and reward the good). On the other end of the spectrum are the "tougher" trainers who tell you to teach your dog who's the boss. They might use less than dog friendly equipment such as prong, shock collars or choke chains. We are unlike either as we focus on helping our clients establish great relationships with their dogs based on mutual love, respect, trust and understanding. You can let your dog know it's making a mistake without being physical or mean. We can teach you how, usually very quickly and easily.
