Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Be able to provide me with workable material...or a manageable research project.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. None.
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. I am not a laborer but a researcher/consultant and writer and word processor.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I directed more than three dozen M.A. theses while teaching in Ohio. This work required me to be cognizant of grammar and style, as well as content and mechanics.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. Right now I am retired from professorial work, but enjoy the challenge of working on research or writing projects.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. What wordprocessing system do you use and how much do you charge. I use Microsoft Word and charge according to the difficulty of the project, usually $15 per page. I can deliver by email, snail mail or disk.
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. So very many from working on graduate projects; some too embarassing to relate.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. I directed Graduate Studies at a major Ohio university for almost 25 years; in that time I served on reading committees or directly supervised M.A. theses for some three dozen students.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I became an academician because of my love for teaching and for research.
Q. What are your most common types of jobs?
A. Research, Proofreading, Writing, Enhancing the writings of others.
Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.
A. I assisted a foreigh student with a complex report...on a subject with which I had little knowledge or experience. The final report was very well received.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. No.
Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?
A. Retired, but keep up with computer and wordprocessing advances.
Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.
A. A lengthy technical report which took me about three days to work on. Charge: $50.00.
