When we planned out daughters party we were a little nervous. Our daughter is confined to a wheelchair and we were afraid the kids would leave her alone a lot of the time. Mr Dan proved that not to ba a concern even for one minute. Mr Dan set up right next to Arielle and made her his assistant. The kids had a great time and our daughter has never been happier. We kept him for 2 extra hours. He was a blessing.

Great Job! We will use him again and again, Will refer to friends. He was wonderful. Full of fun and made the kids AND adults laugh and feel like they were part of the show. The balloons were, for lack of a better term, Magical. ...lol... and the magic was pretty fabulous. we are still trying to figure them out. He had many of the kids involved in the tricks and they felt so special. It was truly warm and fuzzy moment provided by Mr Dan.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. It isn't the price you should look at. Though it has a bearing on the job. What about word of mouth? Have you heard great things about them? Does the artist seem like he/she truly cares? Do they seem like the love whatthey do? Does the artist ask about the event? or is it just a matter of "How long do you want me , and "Well there is an extra charge for this or that." I know when it comes to my children the cost isn't a guiding factor because there is nothing too good for my guys but in this economy one has tobe realistic, Is the artist willing to try and work within your budget?

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. A balloon artist is not only known by the amount they charge. Many are known by the love they have for the trade and for the children the perform for.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. How much do you charge? What do you provide? How long will you stay? Is the magic included? And ask if they have any referrals or a website

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Simple things to aid in the cost. How many guests will be there. Age/gender of honoree, (if it is that type of event). How long you would like me to be there. Location. Time. Any special requests. Things of this nature.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Mr Dan promises and delivers smiles and satisfaction. Where others are good and do a good job Mr Dan goes the extra mile. I never get enough of the smile and look of wonderment on a childs face when a balloon becomes what they asked for right in front of their eyes. No amount of money can buy that.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. It's not a job. It is fun and a blessing that I have found a way to make a living for my family by making people happy. Entertaining has been in my blood since birth. From stand-up comedy to magic to playing drums, guitar and harmonica (blues harp) to morning show radio broadcasting to balloons. All my life has been about entertaining and having fun.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How much is it? What do you do? Do you know how to make "this or that"? My child loves " insert character here"....Can you do something like this...or the theme of the party is____..Are you able to do this? OR the big one....Do you have any ideas of what to do to make it great?? This is from the parent that is frazzled and trying to give their child the bestest party ever but between PTA, little league, dance classes, sleepovers, football practice, soccer practice, afterschool programs, car pooling, (I could go on forever....Do I need to? LOL). I will give ideas and help any way I can to make your event fun, and easier on you.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. I had a birthday party for a little girl who was in a wheelchair. Her mom wanted to get something that would keep the children at least a little close to her daughter. She was afraid the kids would go to the cake, the food, the TV and one of a zillion other places and leave her beautiful daughter alone. I assured her I could take care of this issue with no problem. I made her my assistant in the magic show and had her dressed like a balloon princess. Every few minutes we would do another magic trick, another illusion, or add another piece to her balloon costume. The other children were glued to her to see what she was going to do next. It was AWESOME, and the mom was pleased beyond words. (so was I that the little girl was so happy.)

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. With my lifes history it was just a matter of time.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. It is never ending. Learning new shapes, designing new shapes. Always on the look out for new and exciting balloon shapes to thrill with.different types of balloon do different things. Something as simple as turning a certaintype of balloon inside out makes it into a different shape altogether. (Geo blossom for those that know,,lol)

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Practice Practice Practice, and above all . Love what you do. If you do not truly love children you won't make it in this industry. Gimme, I wanna. Make me a.... This is wehat you will hear a lot but remember they are seeing the shapes you create not that it is a balloon. It's magic to them. and you.... the magician bringing these forms to life. wow.
