Introduction: I design with readability in mind, not just for flashy looks. Visitors at any website want to be able to find the information they are looking for. I went back to college at USF to learn some of the new techniques in the art world. And for the past couple of years I have spent time learning even more than webdesign. I can create brochures in InDesign, and can help writers get their manuscript in the correct format for self publishing. And I have worked in the business world, so I understand your concerns. I love artistic expression paired with engineering execution. Especially when it helps my client market his product better.

Full Disclosure - Darlene is my ex-wife. Having said that you can imagine that I know her work and her customer service orientation and talent. Factually, she is an award winning graphics artist, as well as, an excellent Web Designer. Please take a look at her website and you will see what I mean. She is innovative and communicates very well. If you are looking for a Web designer who can actually build great websites AND who understands business she is certainly worthy of your consideration.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My basic pricing is $35 an hour for Photoshop or Design work and for building websites from templates such as WIX, Square or Spotify. When I design a website from scratch, then I use a fixed price for the first page of $550 which includes a key word search for your Search Engine Optimization. Each regular page with content and 2 images is an additional $50.00. If the page requires extra formatting, such as lots of images, a light box or a carousel of images or a table, then the the cost is $100 per page. Site map pages are free and included with every website since it is so beneficial.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet them and then have them look over my Basics worksheet so they make the good decisions right from the beginning. This gives them more understandings on the whole process, from the design to Search Engine Optimization to hosting.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I subscribe to daily website and design technical newsletters to stay informed. I also take online classes as necessary for new developments.
