I am a college student with 13 years of musical performance experience. I have knowledge of music theory, and I play north of 10 instruments. I am available for piano and guitar lessons. I will come to you, and I can supply a guitar or piano if you do not have one for the lessons, though it would be best to purchase one for out-of-meet practice.
I have a non-traditional method of teaching music because I've found that many young students and peer students alike find playing through scales and exercises repeatedly for hours at a time can become mundane and, frankly, obnoxious rather quickly. Thus, I teach through pop music and music the students want to learn. With each lesson, I offer practice material -- material that's cool to show friends, and a bit of music theory to become a better general musician.
I've played with several ensembles and done several professional shows, playing many styles of music, such as reggae, classical, and jazz. I grew up playing and listening to music, and I have great musical diversity. I have music from artists of all kinds and can steer any student in the direction he/she like to go as a musician, whether he/she like to play folk, hip-hop or classical.
Question and answer
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. If you're looking to learn music and have fun doing it, I'm the person to hire. I provide a fun musical learning coupled with experience.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Practice makes perfect but the best practice is practice you enjoy. Play music you want to play, not music you feel like you should play.
