Introduction: Many very qualified (with degrees) music lesson teachers are either too focused on the old style of learning (classical only, with many strict rules, and not allowing any fun). Many less qualified teachers often teach in a fun style leaving out the necessary basics and real skills of the "old style". We bring you a great combination of teachers with real qualifications who also encourage students to have fun with music and think outside the box! Best of both worlds! I like that I can provide quality instruction in a modern and forward-thinking way. Students can learn real skills of making music. Great composers like Bach were not satisfied to keep playing the same old stuff...they changed it up by creating a new trend, and we should do the same with the materials we have!

As an adult piano student, I highly recommend Miss Brall. She exceeds all the qualifications any student of any age would need in a teacher. She is knowledgeable, friendly, patient, full of innovating ideas to teach. Raised by a Juilliard graduate (her father), having a 15 plus years of teaching, and a Master's in Piano, Miss Brall is an outstanding teacher; she teaches musical skills to piano students on the level of the individual. She doesn't want you to memorize, she wants you to learn. A child learns to read by practicing reading, not memorizing a children's book. Same with music; she helps you learn how to read. As I continue to learn from her, I find myself with more complicated pieces, but yet, I find them easier than in the beginning because she makes piano learning "make sense" She is a teacher unlike any other and I highly recommend her.

I have worked with Rebekah Brall for several years as a piano instructor for my son. Our experience has been wonderful. She has an uncanny way of making learning fun. She teaches the students the notes and other technical things but also allows them to learn songs that interest them. My son loved the matching game he would get to play with Ms. Becky if he behaved in class. Now, his reward is doing an improvisation. I hope he never figures out that the lesson is really still going on even though he gets to pick the activity. In summary, Ms. Becky makes learning fun. She keeps current with the popular songs and keeps her students interested in learning and trying new things. She keeps challenging them to do harder and more difficult songs. I am so glad I found her on the internet and I hope to be taking lessons from her for a long time.

I have 4 children who are with Ms. Brall. They all love her. 2 of them are current students and are doing great and progressing very quickly! the other 2 are no longer students, but they love her and she is their still their mentor. The reason why we chose her in the first place was her style. She does not stick to boring "methods". She assesses each student's learning style and designs a program specifically for them. If one likes to improvise, she would teach them to improvise. If one needs repeat practice, she would ensure he does it. She also teaches history and origins of music once the student matures to that level. She teaches them to play duos as well. Ms. Brall is energetic. She brings new ideas to each lesson. She finds ways for the students to provide service to the community by playing and serving during the holidays and other special events. One time we went to Cracker Country to sing and perform, dressed in old fashion style, other times we were at nursing centers, or at churches. Thanks so much to Ms. Brall for making piano and music fun for the kids! Ginger and family

I have taken lessons from Becky for over three years. She is a wonderful teacher who listens to you and adapts her lessons to fit your learning style. She is always positive and encouraging. Becky works hard to help you enjoy yourself and your music. I would highly recommend her to anyone of any age who wishes to learn to play the piano.

Both my children have taken piano lessons with Mrs. Brall. Her commitment to fine arts, professionalism, flexibility, love for music and children are excellent. My daughter cannot wait for her weekly lessons. I highly recommend Mrs. Brall and Tampa Piano Academy.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Tuition for piano is monthly and the price is the same every month. This tuition fee covers registration, recitals, and more. We have group make-up seminars available periodically for missed lessons as well.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I continually research new techniques for making music fun! Most people who do music are NOT looking to do years and years of personal sacrifice to become Superior at their craft. My goal is to telescope the learning experience so people don't waste their time with things that won't directly benefit them. I want everyone to be the best they can be in a way that benefits them most!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My Dad is a Juilliard graduate with all but dissertation of his Doctorate in Music. He pushed me towards becoming a superior musician from day 1. It was not always fun, but the hard work certainly paid off! Now I live vicariously through my students letting them have both the difficult and the fun side of music at the same time.
