All of our lessons are taught by seasoned professional instructors with sound academic backgrounds in music. We specialize in guitar, piano, ukulele, and several other instruments, including the African Mbira. In addition to successful professional music careers, we all share a love for teaching. Our lessons are taught in large, well-lit studios and are accessible to all ages and levels across a wide range of styles.
For our beginning students, we put as much emphasis on music theory as having fun and making your own music. Plenty of music teachers are guilty of writing tedious lesson plans that bore students and drop confidence levels right off the bat. South Tampa Guitar Studio focuses on early songwriting and chord structure way before guitar theory, modes, and difficult scales.
For all of our students, we offer beginning and advanced levels of music theory, music notation, scales, technique, live sound instruction, fingerpicking, tablature, songwriting skills, chord inversions, etc.
