FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am working on a pricing system that works well. I tend to present a fair and honest price for all work that I do and I am sure to present it before I begin work. I also charge cost price for any parts that are needed. I do not see the sense in a markup for parts.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Just like a car mechanic, I would first need to gather as much information as possible about the issue in order to properly evaluate it's remedy. There is a lot that can be said over the phone, but just like with a car mechanic, discussing certain issues over the phone is near impossible. Things go smoothly to start with a clear understanding of the problem which usually involves me seeing the problem for myself.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 8 years of education in Network Systems Administration. I have begun many tasks from a hobbyist perspective. I love to learn things for myself with my own hands instead of solely with a book or two. I have a lot of experience and I have visited many homes and taken home and fixed many computers over the years. There is little that I have not done.
