I spend time before, during, and after each job paying careful attention to detail and ensuring that the experience and the results are unique to who I'm working with. There is no one-size-fits-all method. I enjoy getting to know each person who commissions me, and consider them friends as well as clients.
I love hearing people's stories, and telling those stories (or parts of them at least) visually. As I get to know the people I photograph, I see their uniqueness and beauty, and I always hope that through the images I create they'll see that in themselves, too.
