Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. apparel design for screen printing, ranging from them parks and attractions, to fashion trends and boutique collections, we have done pretty much everything.
We also provide web site design and video animation which is becoming huge quick.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Avoid the cheap so call designers that all they can do is put some clip arts together, call it a design and charge you for it.
real art is custom, and unique for each client, and clients need to understand that when they invest in graphic art work, they need to make sure they put their money in a real graphic design studio, that will really tackle the need and provide the right solution or design for their success.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. we enjoy having a nice conversation with our clients prior to start, because a lot of times clients need to get their ideas together, and we like to help on that area also.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. every new job is a new challenge to our creativity and is always different.
We also love helping business owners create their brand, assist them creating their image in the world and watch them grow, over time we have assisted many small business owners with their graphic design needs.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. If we do all custom work, which we do except a customer specifically request something different.
If they will keep the rights to re print their artwork, and we have no problem with that, if they request, we can sign a contract where it states the client can reprint and use the art work as long as they want, however, in apparel design, clients are always looking for new stuff, so we find ourselves creating new art all the time, and we follow trends and fashion which change constantly.
how we charge, we charge 50% upfront and 50% remaining when the job is approved by the client.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. since I can remember everyone around told me I should be a graphic artist I have studied art and drawing since I can remember, and for my partner, she is incredibly talented and comes from a family of artists and sculptors that added to our experience in architecture and graphic design, plus the benefit that we both had business ownership experience, gave us the chance to put together Motef Design Studio.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. a real quick job, the Graffiti tee shirt, a clean quick job that got a lot of good reviews from the clients, and believe us, graffiti art is not easy to do, and less to satisfy professional graffiti artists, so it came out real nice.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. We are constantly getting informed about new techniques, trends and fashion to be on top of the game. We try to attend every trade show and magic show we can to be up to date, and our geek side keeps us with top notch technology.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. COLORS! we are coming back to colorful apparel! finally! we'll be seeing some neons for a while too

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. Unfortunately all our most recent jobs are top secret until they are well into the market and being sold.
But we have had a blast creating a line of 30 designs+ for most roller coasters theme parks last month.

A. We usually go by the project, and of course, the more amount of art works the better pricing, but we go by project most of the time.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. be on top of your game and never stop learning, and be ready for lots of coffee, Red Bull, and long creative nights of work!!
