My name is Will, and I offer K-12 tutoring in and around the Winter Park area.

Some of the subjects I tutor include:

* Math

- Algebra I
- Algebra II
- Geometry
- Pre-Calculus
- Calculus AB
- Calculus BC

* English
* Grammar
* Writing
* Spanish I-III
* SAT

I have been privately tutoring for four years. Previously, I have worked for a test prep company and am currently a math tutor for underserved students as part of the National Science & Technology Education Partnership's study buddy program.

I also tutor students at my school's writing center. Students who have worked with me in the past for the SAT have seen over 100-point score increases in two month time frames.

I tutor students at an agreed location, often at Starbucks or the library, but I can also meet you in the comfort of your home. Prices vary based on the location we agree to meet at.

Question and answer

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Because I am a senior in high school, I usually relate to students more so than an older tutor would. I understand how to simplify concepts into terms that students can understand and I try to break down every concept to make sure a comprehensive understanding is achieved.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. The most rewarding feature of tutoring is being able to see the progress that the student has made after our session ends. Sometimes students simply need someone to push them that extra step to achieving their goals.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Why should we choose you over the older, more established tutors?
I maintain a professional level at all times and try to relate to each of my students. I always come prepared. I often ask my students or their parents what they are learning so I can look over the material before our session and ensure that I am ready for the session. I go out of my way to send worksheets and helpful links that I think may help the student. I tutor because I love to teach. I understand the difficulty it can be to find a reliable and affordable tutor in today's economy and so I try and keep my rates as reasonable as possible compared to the professional rates.
