I’ve hired Lux Cocktails for 2 events within the last 4 months and both experiences were amazing. Not only was she responsive to quote request but she was also reasonably priced for the entirety of the services she was providing. I was impressed by her presentation of services and setup, her timeliness, and her customer service throughout the duration of both events. I have recommended her for several events and she has officially become one of my go to vendors.

I chose Lux Cocktails based off their great reviews. The owner was sick and unable to attend my event, so 2 other workers were sent instead, not an issue. I did have an issue with the fact that many guests at the party noticed the fact that the staff we were given were not bartenders, but drink pour-ers. As I walked around the party checking on the bar, the “bartender” looked very overwhelmed. Thu guest told me the bartenders struggled to make basic bar drinks, such as margaritas. My coworker and her husband went up to the bar and asked the bartender for 2 margaritas. The bartender told them she could not make that drink because she didn’t have any orange juice. My coworker and her husband looked at each other confused and then looked at the bartender. The bartender then walked away from the bar. My coworkers waited for her, but she didn’t come back for a while, so they walked away. I selected 2 signature drinks for the party. I spoke with the owner, and she assured me they could make the drinks. One would assume by serving signature drinks for a crowd the drink would be premade in a pouring container so the bartenders can quickly pour and serve and keep the lines short. Several guests mention how the bartenders never utilized a shaker cup, and whenever they got a drink from the bar it tasted different every single time whether it was mostly alcohol or mostly juice. They didn’t measure anything. There was no point in having a signature drink if the bartenders are just going to make their own concoctions. Hours before the party even started, I was asked if I needed ice. I said yes, I need ice. The bartenders showed up 30 minutes late and didn’t bring ice. Then, after taking an additional 30 minutes to get set up they still were not ready to serve drinks. When they were ready to serve drinks all the drinks were warm because there was no ice and they did not bring a cooler. I spoke with the owner, and she said I need to ask for a cooler for one to be provided, which is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. That’s like hiring a plumber to fix your toilet and he is asking you for tools to complete his job. I paid for a bar because my company does not have a bar. Bartenders are supposed to serve cold beers and drinks over ice. Why would I need to ask for that as if alternative anyone would prefer a hot beer. One of the bartenders came up to me while she was setting up and asked if I had a tool to pop the bottle caps off beers, I gave her a strange look and said no, I thought you would have brought that, you’re the bartender? She stood there for a moment as I was going to make one magically appear or hop in my car to buy one. Then she walked away. Again, I hired bartenders because they are supposed to come prepared with all the tools for the job, as I am not a bartender and I do not have the tools for the job. I had to leave the party to go get ice, I should not have had to leave the party at all because I paid for bartending service. Just ridiculous. The owner did try to get door dash to deliver ice but that was an hour after the party started. Let’s talk about dress code. A dress code was never formally discussed but I did mention this is an office holiday party. I did not care what the bartenders were wearing, as long as they were not scantily clad. My assumption was that they would wear a polo/t-shirt and slacks or khakis. One bartender was dressed in polo and slacks. That was perfect. The other bartender had leggings and a crop shirt and jacket. Initially it was not a problem, but because she was not set up with all her supplies, she kept turning her back to the crowd flashing her tattoo from mid back to butt, and one of my colleagues said they could see the string of her thong. That is just inappropriate. Although this is a party there must be professionalism. If you are hired to do a job, you need to do your job. We did not pay bartenders to party with us. I was told by several guests that the bartenders were taking shots with my colleagues. This is completely inappropriate. They should not be getting drunk on the job. The party was over at 10pm. My company provided the alcohol and Lux Cocktails provided the mixers and garnishes. My co-party manager said she noticed one of the bartenders taking a bottle of wine and she questioned her about the wine (that my company paid for). The bartender gave the wine bottle back but the fact that she took the bottle to begin with?! It’s stealing! After speaking with the owner, she apologized and asked what she could do to make things right, but it’s over now. We are a corporate business, and we only have 1 event a year with alcohol, our holiday party, so it’s not like she can come back in month and offer bartending service again. I would not hire this company or recommend their service to anybody. If the owner can learn anything from this experience, do not send workers in your place that are not going to follow through with a job in the same manner as you would. Send workers you trust to get the job done.

Live up to what they advertise. No garnishments were provided and only a limited number of chasers. We will not use them again. Even after reaching out to Tori to bring the garnishments Durning the event, she failed to do so, nor did she respond back to my text the next day. I will never use Lux Cocktails again. This was our first and will be our last time using them.
