BIO:
Born in Montreal, growing up in Toronto and Atlanta, Prince Akeem uses his exposure of diversity to his musical advantage. Most recently he was the DJ for Cirque Du Soleil Echo. He is a mixshow DJ for the Rickey Smiley Morning Show (Weekend Jumpoff). A nationally syndicated radio show in 56 markets. DJ Prince Akeem is an open format DJ with an immense skill in reading crowds and showing versatility in song selection. His one-of-a-kind ability to build connections with any crowd has quickly helped build his notoriety as a premiere DJ. His unique style and presence on the microphone makes Prince Akeem's sets consistently memorable and leaving people on the dance floor. With over 200 corporate events and weddings, in addition to nightlife residences, Prince Akeem has proven to be one of the most sought after DJs in the Southeast.

Every time I thought I’d take a break from the dance floor he reeled me back in with the next song. He knows how to keep the party going and was so gracious to allow us to extend the time because he was SO GOOD we didn’t want to stop dancing. Days later people are still talking about how good our DJ was. Prince Akeem is a whole vibe. He is worth every penny and then some. I will never hire another DJ. If he’s not available for the event date then the event date will just need to be changed. He’s just that good.”
