My name is Greg Washington, and I am offering private drum lessons for beginners and intermediate-level students of all ages. In my lessons, you will learn to implement new ideas, with a tailored approach, enhancing your overall learning experience. From inception to implementation, your creativity will be developed into a living, breathing, expression, ready to be applied in any musical situation. Learn things like reading music, popular drum grooves, fundamental coordination skills, proper hand and foot technique, counting, playing with a metronome, and more. In addition to learning these things, you will get to apply these concepts and perform them with songs in various styles of music. This is where the magic happens. I am committed that you find and develop your own authentic self-expression. For your convenience, an additional set of drums will be provided for you to play. Satisfaction is guaranteed! Mr.Greg, Has ALOT of patience with my 6 yr old grandson! And you can tell he has alot of love for music. He going above and beyond to make sure my grandson learns basics to become the best drummer. And he's doing it on a level that my grandson enjoys it.

Greg is a first-rate drummer and teacher. Five lessons in with him, I have already noticed marked improvement in my skills, including coordination, grooves, and articulation. Greg is also a pleasure to work with - easy to talk to and knows how to break down complex patterns into their essential components for learning purposes. His sessions are efficient and productive - we tend to get right to work on a new concept, while mixing in engaging conversation and fun songs as well. Greg is also incredibly detail-oriented, noticing even small mistakes I have made on a groove or drill so I can quickly correct it (before forming bad habits). Overall, I’d highly recommend Greg for drum lessons!

I had my first lesson today with Greg & he was excellent! He is a great teacher and really knows his stuff. Looking forward to the next lesson. Would definitely recommend hiring him for any level of experience if you want to learn to play the drums!

Mr Washington is a great teacher. We hired him to provide drum lessons for a young man at our church. We have seen awesome growth in a fairly short period of time. He is very skilled, knowledgeable and patient with his students. If you have a child that desires to play drums or if you desire to play drums, you can find no greater teacher.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
Drumming is something I love and have been doing for a long time. I started teaching once I felt I had acquired the adequate education, knowledge, experience, and resources necessary to make available to students.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I helped a couple of students by filming and editing videos for them for the Hit Like A Girl drumming competition for female drummers. This was a joy for me because it allowed them an opportunity to present themselves on a worldwide platform.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice for any new student is to have an awareness of the level of commitment it will take to achieve your desired level of excellence.
