FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
During the initial consultations and estimating phases, we attempt to be very thorough and talk through all impacted items, so that the price we provide is truly complete and there is not scope creep and the need to repeatedly add to the project budget. Our initial price may seem higher than our competitors, but it is likely also a more thorough bid, reflective of what your project is REALLY going to cost.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The answer to that depends on whether the customer already has a detailed plan in mind (in which case we are making sure we have a very thorough and detailed understanding of their expectations, and we want to review/evaluate the design in detail to make sure there are no issues, or no improvements we would like to suggest), or just a general desire that we need to help think through and design (in which case we will need to start by understanding the goals, and if there is particular functionality that will be most valued/appreciated, or a certain aesthetic that is preferred), or a budget they are trying to stay within (in which case we will help define a project/approach that most closely meets their ideal state, while staying within budget).
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Doing this for years (and years). On the job training!!
