We hired True King to broker our move. They assigned Onyxx Movers. Onyxx movers showed up at 11pm the night before we were to close and be out of our home. They were still loading the truck at 4am. Onyxx movers put our furniture in storage per our request. When we found our new home, I called and gave them two weeks notice so they could deliver our furniture on or about the time we closed. We had to wait an additional 10 days after closing on our hew home to have our possessions delivered. In addition, Mr. G (George) of Onyxx movers added another $750.00 to our bill for having to deliver our furniture "to a different zip code". We moved 50 minutes away from the storage facility. When I asked how he was calculating this additional charge, I got no response. Mr. G did reduced this charge to $550.00 after I complained, but could not give me an appropriate calculation for this additional cost. Upon delivery, he demanded a cashier's check for the full amount including the additional $550.00 before he would start unloading the truck. When my husband complained about broken and damaged items, Mr. G ignored him. We were so frustrated and angry that we refused to sign the inventory list before the movers left. When we found panes of glass missing from our china cabinets, I e-mailed Mr. G with our concerns. He responded with an unprofessional and harassing e-mail telling me that if I post a negative comment about Onyxx Movers, he would sue me. Learn from my horrible experience - DO NOT USE ONYXX MOVERS

We would like to answer to the points raised by the customer above. We will do it point by point: Delivery delay: From our position there was no delay. The items were in our storage for over 3 months. As per our terms we communicated to the shipper that we have a minimum of 14 working days from the date of notification of readiness to take delivery. The items were delivered 10days from the date. 2. Additional charges for change in destination: Charges going long distance are charged by weight according to the miles and zipcodes. The items were originally moved from Niles Michigan and delivered to a temporary storage at the zipcode on order. Once the shipper changed the delivery to zipcode it added additional cost in transport and driving time. so we have to pass on the cost to the customer. 3. It is a known practice in the moving industry that payment is required on COD shipment before unloading. Shipper was advised via several emails that payment was due on arrival at destination yet when the truck showed up and driver asked for payment, she and husband insisted rather forcefully that they would not make any payment until the truck was fully unloaded and set up and they had inspected their furniture. They were reminded of the conditions of service and payment terms on a COD shipment but they retorted somewhat angrily. We had no choice but to comply with the terms and conditions of our agreement. 3. Damages and missing items: All the glass panels were delivered wrapped and Ms. Trentz advised us to lay them against the garage walls. We pointed them to her before we pulled off. We reminder again in response to her email. Unprofessional and harassing email: In response to her threat to say unprintable things about the company on all consumer websites, we stated that we reserved the right to seek legal redress if she published falsehood against the hard earned name of the company. Over the past year, Onyxx Mover has moved over 300 satisfied customers across the lengths and breadth of this country. We strive to serve our customers. We also realized that certain customer cannot be satisfied even though our services was rendered free, they still have reason to complain.

Worst experience ever! My furniture was picked up on October 9, 2014 In KY. I was told 7-14 days for my furniture to be delivered. It arrived November 13, 2014 in FL. I'm not sure when it would have been delivered, if I hadn't told then my attorney would be contacting them. When my belongings arrived, 7 boxes were wet. Photos were destroyed. I booked my move with a broker in Miami. Moving APT. I would advise anyone moving to do your research!

The delay was caused by our truck broken down. Although some of the boxes that were closer to the side doors show sign of dampness, they were opened and items inspected for damages but the content were safe and dry
