Pick Up & Go Movers is a family-owned and -operated business right here in Georgia.

We are licensed, insured and bonded. Although we started our business in mid-2008, we have over 35 years of combined experience. In 2008, we managed to gain over 500 moves; in 2009, over 700 moves; in 2010, over 1,000 moves, and as of July 31, 2011, we are over 900 moves.

Our client base has grown due to repeat satisfied clients and referrals, which speaks broadly for the type of service we provide. We specialize in quality and care, which has allowed us to grow in Atlanta, GA and the surrounding areas. Providing quality service is the most important part of our business. We make sure to meet the needs of everyone, big or small.

To help us provide these services, we depend on our team for knowledge, hard work, dependability, experience, and loyalty. Our team is well trained on the unique art of moving and treating each item with safety and care. We strive to meet every client's needs. This is accomplished by knowing the business, providing great prices, hiring professional movers and educating our customers on what to expect during their move.

Pick Up & Go Movers makes it a priority to stay involved in the community. From mentoring children to volunteering with United Way, Make A Wish, Hands on Atlanta or various charitable walks, from feeding the homeless to providing clothes to the less fortunate, our hearts are in it to make a difference.

I want to thank all your staff for handling my mother's move to her new apartment. She and I were both very impressed with the movers' knowledge and professionalism. We look forward to working with your company again as our family goes through even more changes.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Our most common jobs are residential moves. Residential moves range from 1-5 bedroom apartments and houses. Commercial moves are also on the rise!

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. The best advice I can give is be honest about your moving needs. The more accurate information we have, the better we can assist with your needs, provide you with the proper amount of men and a honest estimate.

Another good tip is to get more than one quote and ask if there are any additional charges or hidden fees. The worst thing that can happen during your move is to end up with extra fees added to your invoice at the end of your move.

Also, make sure to hire a professional moving company that is licensed, insured and bonded.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Are you licensed, insured and bonded?
Do you have any references or a review site?
How long have you been in business?
Are there any additional cost?
When does the time start and end?
When do I pay?

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We are a local female owned small business. We can have a personal relationship with our customers and provide quality work without the high prices.

Q. Write your own question and answer it.

A. Are you licensed, insured and bonded?

Yes- all professional movers in any state have to be licensed, insured and bonded. Make sure to look up this information on your states Public Service Commission website.

Q. Write your own question and answer it.

A. When does the time start and end?

Time starts when we arrive at your location and review our contract. Time ends when we are done moving your last item.
