Where to start? Al is awesome! He is a far cry from the typical unengaged and uninvested L.A. Fitness trainer, for sure. He is extremely serious about his craft, which is evident in his integrated knowledge of body mechanics and fitness techniques. I'll never forget my first session with Al. I thought he was crazy as bat sh*& when he asked me to complete a series of stretches on a pair of small blocks. Very soon, I realized, this guy knows what he's doing. And yes, he really does! I would choose Al as my fitness specialist 100 times over.
I am now approximately 1.5 months into my training experience with Al and I have already seen above satisfactory progress in my overall strength, body shape, energy levels, and lung capacity. I came to Al as a less than ideal client, I'm sure. Although I was not obese, I have limitations due to severe asthma. Al has more than worked around this! He is extremely thorough and provides individualized fitness and nutritional services. I have no doubt that my personal journey to overall health and fitness has been accentuated by Al's attention to details and my personal body map.
Not only does Al provide individualized services, he is shockingly accessible. Through this, I truly feel as though he wants me to succeed just as much as I do. If you're looking for a fitness specialist that cares about your journey, Al is the guy!

Let's be honest, everyone wants a beach body. I was a skinny kid my entire life and maintained the same skinny stature until I was well into adulthood; and until I met Al. With a month of gruesome workouts , waking up early, and for the most part dedication, I was able to pack on 10 pounds of lean muscle. And still growing! Honestly, it was all thanks to Al's depth of knowledge about body mechanics and proper rest for my slim body type. Thanks dude!

A. My most common jobs are people who are on the go&don't either have the time or don't like the social aspect that comes with joining a gym...I usually get the aging guy or women who had a beautiful figure/physique in high school...They were active in sports, had a fast metabolism, could eat what they pleased and never had to worry about significant weight gain...Now their a lil a older, not being conscious of their eating habits, they have no time to get a routine fitness schedule,or they have had a couple of kids&now have become content with family life...So they mainly wanna get into a structure workout routine&dietary meal plan to help them be able to keep up with their fast pace life; or so they can be physically able to enjoy the things they like to do in their leisure...
A. I never trash or speak bad about other providers...Competition is healthy its what makes you wanna better yourself.....I would just advise the client to sit down&talk to the trainer&find out about him personally...Don't just go by his certs, education or high accolades...Also Just because someone is in shape doesn't mean they can get others in shape..Also the misconception that every personal trainer has to look big or have a body building body...Every trainer has their physical expectations of themselves just like every client does...Doesn't mean they are less knowledgeable in the field then a guy who actually looks the part...Some people have a PASSION for the skill others have a passion for the money...Its your choice on which of the two you decide to hire!!
A. If I was a customer,I would wish I hired someone like me:-)..Seriously the main thing about getting in shape&being healthy is getting a consistent time table of being repetitious..That means if you work out on Monday 7 in the mourning, when Wednesday comes work out 7am,&same on Friday 7am..That's the biggest reason for not seeing progress....If you eat lunch at 11am Monday,do it the same every day...You gotta get your body used to a body contract&muscle memory..The same things go with your sleep habits...If your eating,&workout habits are one day in the mourning,&then the next day at night your body will never develop a constant stimulus response..Its kinda similar to when daylight saving time takes place...your body had a routine, now when that hits
it will take your body at least 1 to 2 weeks to adjust the new time..Its the same when it comes to working out.
A. My work stands out because i pay attention to every aspect of your fitness training from your breathing, form, stamina levels, focus, motivation, dietary plans&fitness goals...Also I practice&live the lifestyle that I preach&teach to others...I don't ask some one to do something, that I don't do myself...My trainer kicks my butt&the results of my picts should speak for themselves...Also I am always trying to read up on new nutrition secrets,or foods that could be detrimental to your body as well as your mental state&focus...Any of my reference&testimonials that you talk to me about can substantiate my claims...Body line,I LOVE SEEING PEOPLE FIT&OFF THIS CORRUPT MEDICAL SYSTEM THAT SUCKS YOU DRY LIKE A VAMPIRE!!
A. What I love about my job is seeing people who physical&mental change takes place &knowing that i was a part of it....That's worth more than any amount of money I can receive...Knowing you help somebody..A lot of people are not by birth because, of drama as a child or circumstances are not energetic or self motivated...So that just need a lil help in that direction and once they see results they get excited...The change of knowing that they thought they were a slacker&were losing all hope and now see improvements on all fields is not just a change but a complete METAMORPHOSIS....When people look good, they feel better about themselves.. That positive energy, focused, chaos free state of mind&overall good vibrations is projected toward others...Therefore you're received better from others..People equate physical appeal of being in shape with somebody who has their in order...
A. Most of my customers ask me what is the time frame they will see significant results..My answer is "It takes time"...."It takes about 6 weeks to see change"...To see significant change 4 to 6 months to see a complete body change...It takes time to build up muscle memory, get your body on a contract, and increase flexibility&oxygen exchange...Also when u start seeing results you need to have some knowledge to keep the body from hitting a plateau...THE BODY WILL PLATEAU!...Also the way the economy is people i understand will have price concerns...That's just reality..The answer I give them is whats it worth to them&what's its costing them emotionally, physically&mentally in their life not being in shape...Also what can they eliminate or do without for awhile such as; drinking, smoking, eating out every night, going to the club etc..... Or going clothes shopping..How much is it worth to you...Maybe the clothes are more important...Only you know the importance of that..
A. My favorite story of my work is a lady by the name of Marie Arce...She was leasing agent for the complex that I lived in...I tried to get Marie out with me for at least 6 months she procrastinated, money was never the issue...She was about 10 to15 pounds over weight&a size 14...Any way she sees me in the office one day&tells me she getting ready to be brides maid&needs to be able to fit in this particular gowns their all gonna be wearing....She tells me I got 30 days...I tell her I can turn water in to wine but I haven't master how to walk on water:-)..Any way she gets up at 6am,drives at least 40 min to meet me at the gym...The first week of work outs was trying to get her flexible&see what her physical limitations was...She really showed me some determination after that, because she really wanted it..You could see it in her actions&focus...When it was time to do those jack knifes&leg raises&related abdominal exercises she built her pain tolerance up so much, screaming in agony sometimes but she endured...She told me she went to try on the dress&it was to small...She told me she was fitting a size 9 to 10...Her face lost a lot of weight&her complexion got clearer...She had increased energy to last thru out the day&her mental approach was focused& free from stress..Everybody at the wedding said she looked phenomenal...Also,other tenants came in;men&women complimented her...She referred some other clients to me because of this...HARD WORK&CONVICTION DOES PAY OFF!!
A. I wish customer knew there is hard work&preparation that goes into being a fitness guru..a lot of people think all personal trainers do is scream at the their clients...You have to realize more goes into the act then just physical exertion....Many of these clients will bring so much emotional baggage from daily life & you have to be a good listener,a friend,a confidant but not lose sight of the ultimate, primary goal, which is to get them in shape...Some people might be going thru a messy divorce,or perhaps feuding with their spouse,so you have to be an ear to listen...For some people this is therapy for a lot less than what they would pay to their therapist:-)....Also everybody does not respond to yelling...You have to know people physical limitations, quirks,& if some ones being a slacker that day...You have to be a good evaluator&motivator since everybody has different needs...
A. I decided to get in my line of work as a fitness trainers because sports always came rather easy to me..I had a tremendous work ethic to not settle for mediocrity or just being considered average...I wanted to pay every sport well..i DIDN'T KNOW HOW MUCH CONDITIONING WAS A MAIN FACTOR OF THAT TILL I GOT TO COLLEGE...I found out quickly...I got to college and I was knew I would be the quickest&fastest on the team and could beat anybody off the dribble...However I was to light in the A$$:-)And guys would just turn their back, back me down&shoot over me...So therefore I became a defensive liability&that did not sit well with me...I had to get stronger, leap higher, add some weight to hold my own on the court..
A. My pricing system is really not that complicated at all...The main thing with my pricing is for regular routine fitness I charge 60&hour...That is a lot cheaper than what gyms charge usually around 80 to 100 per hr to use one of their personal trainers...But most of those trainers may give you basic exercises but most have no clue or knowledge on the nutritional aspect, which is 80%percent of the task...The 60per I charge is for my complete observation of your breathing, form, mental focus&motivating you..Having structured workout programs tailored to your specific body type"endo,ecto.mesomorph..1 of these 3...I also give daily nutritional plans with food variety as part of this price...In a sense I throw in the nutrition for free...The price goes up to 80 to 100 per...For people trying to take that next leap to play on a competitive sports level..Not just high school,I am talking the elite...People who have aspirations of going pro!! Folks who are trying to run a marathon or triadthalon..football players who are trying to improve their strength&speed in the 40 yard dash...Golf players who are trying to consistently drive the ball 300 yards or more...Or basketball players trying to improve quickness, speed&play above the rim...Those athletes are gonna require special drills,so therefore a different pricing system..
A. If i was advising someone who wanted to get in the profession I would say"do it for all the right reasons"..I would tell them go far&beyond what the average trainer is willing to do....I would tell them be a people person first..People like when u are generally concerned about their well being&what outside problems they might have going on...I would tell them to be receptive, listen but DON'T OFFER ADVICE unless they asked for their opininion...Also keep all patient confidentiality for professionalism sake"THAT SLIP UP CAN RUIN YOUR BUSINESS&HAVE LEGALITIES PLACED AGAINST YOU...Also keep up with certs&learn about the human anatomy!!Also learn about the different exercise&different techniques to be able to apply them sufficiently when a client plateaus&starts to getting discourage because their not progressing...
A. Why would I hire me?I would hire me because i care about people first of all..This a passion for me that I live&breathe....I was always told"do something you love doing and the money aspect will take care of itself...I am always reading up&learning about fitness from books, video,&other trainers with more experience than me...I am a great listener&I encourage feedback..I had to learn this by trial&error...A dictatorship does not work for everybody...I am always looking to learn everything I can on nutrition because that's where the results are gonna come from....I understand people&easily make friends....I also get people to feel totally comfortable around me upon first meeting....I am always look to continue my education in the health&fitness field...I am my own walking billboard....I workout just as hard as I push my clients, and follow dietary meal plans...Also I am charging way less than those who don't have no where near my knowledge&expertise...Not to be cocky but I feel I am one of the best!...PERIOD!
A. How much is your services compared to others?...I ask the person what's this worth to you?How much frustration, time or emotional stress is this costing you in your life...Is this costing you quality,or lack of physical appeal from others...Maybe your sex life is suffering because you can't perform up to your partners standards...Maybe people look at you and don't take you serious because of your physical deficiencies..Maybe your missing out on that raise because your boss is afraid to promote you because you don't even take your health&appearance serious...Not getting that raise is having you to put in longer hours at work for less money...Less money is costing you from spending quality time with your family¬ being able to take the family on a decent vacation...In the end only you know what not being in shape mentally, physically&socially is costing you..Internalize your own pain!!Don't put the blame on others.
