I attended Dr. Burks resume writing class and was very pleased with his presentation, as well as the resume resources that were provided. Dr. Burks provided insight on the different types of resumes and cover letters that can be used. This hands-on session allows you to create/modify your resume. Since attending this class, I now have both a resume and a vita, which proudly represents me.

Dr. Burks worked with me on my resume and cover letter. He provided a sample finished product, reviewed my submission, and provided feedback. My resume and cover letter improved. More importantly the experience helped me to receive the comments better.

I thought my CV was well written until Dr. Burks took a look at it and suggested I make revisions to it by adding my accomplishments with supporting data to each position I've held. This added a powerful dimension to my CV for employers to better understand my strengths. The feedback on my revised CV has been very positive. A big thanks to Dr. Burks!
