History:
Heather Photographer was established in 2006. It came from a simple idea... "A picture is worth a thousand words." I found that I could spend all day reminiscing over a stack of photographs. From this simple thought, I wanted to share my technical and story-telling talents with others to create images that evoke memory and emotion when glanced upon.
Meet the business owner: Heather M.
I earned a BA in Film and Video, scratching "moving pictures" in favor of "still" ones. Because not all valuable skills that lend to my business are photography based, my "character" education dates back to the 70s; I play well with others, share and don't hit. I put things back where I found them and don't take things that aren't mine.
My photography skills date back to the 80s with the gift of a Polaroid Instamatic and were sharply refined in the early part of this new millennium when I went pro with a Canon EOS 5D DSLR and the finest lenses money can buy.
I have a keen eye on how to mix color, form and function. Heck, I even mix left-brained tasks (dull accounting) with right-brained talents (custom photography). Brides, event planners, CEOs and entrepreneurs all agree I snap beautiful photos, capturing life, love and spirit. All this talk of mixing and blending may remind some that I am quite the cook and bartender, too.
