I was referred by a friend to use Smiley Tree Service because I needed to remove a couple of trees in my back yard. They had used them before and were thrilled with the quality of work provided, customer service, prompt response... Anyway, I decided to give it a try (and I'm glad I did).
They came by, gave me an estimate, offered some suggestions on how I could save some money by trimming some trees (instead of removing them)... Their price was reasonable (and I know because I got some estimates from other companies) but their customer service was SUPERB.
Will and Grace (hahaha) were amazing and their crew is simply awesome.
They removed over 20 trees and at the end, the clean up itself was unreal... My yard looked better AFTER the clean up then before.
Amazing people, incredible company!
Soon I will be laying some sod and I know I will be calling the Smiley's again.

These guys are great! William and Grace have reasonable prices, show up on time, and do excellent work. I have used their service again and again.

A. Do not rely exclusively on the lowest price.
Do your due diligence by making sure your service provider of choice is
* fully licensed and insured (and both are valid and in good standing).
* insurance covers at least $1M in general liability (remember, if a tree falls in the wrong place and causes damage to your or your neighbors property and your service provider does NOT have proper coverage, you will be the one responsible to "fit the bill" for damages caused)
* find out how many times your service provider had casualties and had to use its insurance to cover for repairs (a red flag)
* ask for referrals from present and past clients (residential and/or commercial)
* find out if they are listed with Better Business Bureau and check their ratings and reports
It is very important to perform your due diligence PRIOR to hiring a service provider.
A. * We guarantee our work from its beginning until its very end
* We stand by our work and our word (and that's why we have everything in writing, detailing its work flow from its very beginning to its very end)
* Our work is done ONLY when our client(s) is/are fully satisfied with the service provided
* We aim to do it right at the first time, so we don't have to go back again and again (and we have been successful in accomplishing such goal throughout the years)
A. We are in the service business and our primary goal is to educate our clients (and prospects) on how to increase value to their investment, protect and prolong the life spam of their plants, trees, shrubs...
A. Customers usually request for an estimate to be given, over the phone, (prior to a FREE assessment) on how much will cost them to remove a tree.
It is hard to give a precise quote over the phone considering there are many variables such as location, condition, size of the tree...
We provide an "average cost for tree removal" such as:
* $8 per foot for a 25-foot tree;
* $9 per foot for a 50-foot tree; and
* $10 per foot for a 90-foot tree.
By this estimate it would cost roughly $200 for a 25-foot tree, $450 for a 50-foot tree and $900 for a 90-foot tree.
Of course, there are other things to consider such as hauling away wood debris (or leaving it on premises); location and condition of the tree; need for additional equipments/machinery such as skid loader, crane...
Anyway.. here is a quick rule of thumb!
