FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently pursuing a diploma in Fashion Retailing.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most popular service I offer is closet editing. This is the first and most important step in a complete style renovation. A closet edit has numerous benefits: 1) You get a chance to ask yourself why you bought each item. Even if it ends up in the "donate" pile, you learn something about your shopping decisions. 2) A closet edit alone will make your wardrobe easier to integrate into your lifestyle. Most clients end up with about 1/2 to 3/4 of their clothing (at their discretion), but they have five times the outfits. You will go from wearing a small section of your closet to utilizing your entire collection. 3) It's fun! It usually requires about three or four hours, so I encourage people to play music or have mess-free snacks on hand. I also recommend (hear me out here) champagne! You will get the best results if you have fun with it. An ideal client is not afraid to express themselves while keeping an open mind to new things.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Finding someone with similar taste can be helpful, but a good stylist will listen and include your personality in his or her vision. The consultation processes is most effective when combining wardrobe editing and personal shopping. Your stylist knows this and should bundle your costs for a better result.
